Beautiful property and close to the shops and the Planetarium. All round a stunning place and I'll definitely be back in the future.

Very spacious, sparkling clean Karoo house set in pretty garden with secure, off street parking. The housekeeper met us and showed us over the house explaining everything before leaving. The kitchen was well equipped and there was very good hot water. The beds had electric blankets - a great comfort for a cold August night.

We were for the second time at The House of Pinardt - now under New Management. It was a change for the better - one could see the effort and amazing result: a spotless, into the detailed thought-through guesthouse. We will certainly be back!

Raka is the perfect choice for anyone visiting Sutherland. It is within close walking distance to several restaurants and attractions in town, and is incredibly good value for money. The house is authentic, very spacious and comfortable - with 2 large bedrooms, a living area with an indoor braai, a fully stocked kitchen, and even has full Dstv. Anneline was a friendly host and facilitated a truly fantastic stay for us!

Everything was perfect, it is a delightful cottage, we did not want to return home. We did not lack anything and everyone wat friendly and helpful

Good location! The house was neat and spotlessly clean. Beds are super comfortable and the electric blankets were so welcome during the cold weather of Sutherland. We had a warm and friendly welcome by Johanna.

Well located, exceptionally clean and well stocked with everything you could need for an evening. The host was very responsive, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely book again.

It is a beautiful and authentic old house, wonderfully cool inside (natural climate control!). It was equipped with everything we needed, even games like UNO, etc! Lots of interesting and old precious things to look at and appreciate. The backyard is nice and open with a lovely view, yet private enough. Very homely.

The guesthouse offers comfortable and well-appointed rooms with cozy beds. Most friendly and helpful host ever, lovely and great first impression. It was nice, quiet, clean and roomy.

Place was very neat and clean Everything that you could possibly need was there. Oven, Microwave, Airfryer and coffee machine. Host was an absolute pleasure to deal with. As it is Sutherland and cold our host even put the airconditioner on ahead of time to warm the place. Very thoughtful

The night sky location is the main event, the property is well maintained and very comfortable. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable of area. Breakfast and Dinner are both very appetising. Would highly recommend
