TheJungleGuide - Lodges & Treks has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and restaurant in Bukit Lawang. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a water park. There is free private parking and the property features paid airport shuttle service. Comfy beds, sweet, friendly hosts/workers who were very accommodating, the huts are very cool looking (hammocks). It’s amazing they’re really in the jungle but still nearby where you wanna be. A good price for what you get. Washrooms are nice and clean. Everyone hangs out in the main shared area (restaurant area) and plays guitar and plays cards in the evening (but not too late, quiet hours are respected). During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

Asim Paris Guesthouse & jungle trekking has a garden, private beach area, a terrace and restaurant in Bukit Lawang. Boasting a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, airport transfers, room service and free WiFi. It's in an excellent location right on the river in the quiet spot of bukit lawang but still only a short walk from where all the action is and if you don't wish to walk there is a taxi service very close by which will get you into town. The rooms are very nice and the food choices are good and there is soft drinks and beers available for those that wish. Also the garden area is very beautiful with a lot of wildflowers and butterflies flying around so it's a pleasure even just to sit on your balcony and enjoy the view

Tailana Island Pulau Banyak has a garden, private beach area, a shared lounge and terrace in Alaban. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving Asian cuisine. The accommodation features a tour desk, and currency exchange for guests. Absolute paradise. To stay on a 'private' island with only the 8 bungalows at Tailana is such a dream and amazing value for money. We ended up staying 7 nights. We got the 2hr speed boat both ways, which we managed to share with other guests (arranged on whatsapp). Average price was 1,600,000 for the two of us. We know other guests who did it with the public ferry and wooden boats. The room and bed were simple but comfy, good mosquito net. Because we extended our stay, we actually stayed in the newer A-Frame room as well as the older white-washed room, and while both were good, we actually preferred the older room as it was easier to stand in (the a-frame is a bit low on the sides of the bed obviously). The food was excellent, 3 delicious meals per day. They catered to vegetarian diet without a problem. Not many mosquitos which was surprising. We snorkelled everyday (you can rent equipment from their small dive shop on the island) and thought it was really beautiful. We saw a lot of coloured fish, some stingray, and one turtle. Definitely worth the big trip to get here, but we'd recommend staying at least 4 nights to make it worthwhile. The bathrooms are simple (European style, but non-flushing... which isn't a problem) The outdoor showers are great and offer enough privacy. Tip: I brought some beers with me and they let me keep them in the fridge :)

Indra Valley Inn Bukit Lawang features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bukit Lawang. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests.

All rooms come with a private bathroom, a safety deposit box and free WiFi, while selected rooms here will provide you with a balcony and some have mountain views. We had a great family stay. The personnel was very kind, the room was spacious and had a nice view. We did not eat at their place (went to other restaurants) but we did a jungle trek with them. We had an amazing guide who helped us carry in the jungle our 2-year old child. The 2-day trek was adapted to our family needs. We also used laundry and massage services recommended by the owner. All was perfect.

Playgrounds Sabbit Mentawai Surfcamp is set in Pulau Masokut and features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers.

Speaking Catalan, English, Spanish and French, staff are willing to help at the 24-hour front desk. I was very happy with how close it is to that water and the boats are moored right out front. Food was different every meal, a mix of Spanish meals and Indonesian and also some Italian. Paco was super helpful organising our fast ferry over there and back, the staff were legends too. Would recommend anyone to stay here.

Featuring garden views, Walur Surf Villa II in Wainapal features accommodation, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace, a bar and barbecue facilities.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. We had a truly wonderful stay at Frenkie’s villa in Krui. The place was beautiful, comfortable, and perfectly set up for a relaxing holiday. But what made our time extra special was the kindness and thoughtfulness of Frenkie and his wife. They surprised me with a cake and doughnuts for my birthday, which was such a heartwarming gesture and made me feel incredibly welcome and cared for. I’m so grateful for their generosity—it really made the experience unforgettable. I couldn’t recommend this villa and these amazing hosts enough. Thank you, Frenkie!
