During the rainy season, you can swim in the pools of the waterfall that is literally one second away from the lodge.

My bungalow was huge and very charming. But most of all Tia welcome you in the best way. She's very kind and gives very good advices, so you can trust her to organise a treck in the forest. I did it and it was a magic moment ( and physical ! ). I love Bukit Lawang, it's a very beautiful place and you can trust me : go to Rambai Tree Jungle lodge you will love it !

The owner and staff are super kind and welcoming. The apartment was so functional--I can see why it can also be rented long-term. Favorite thing was probably the hammock and view of the lake, as well as the convenience of the vegetarian restaurant!

The accommodation is in a wonderful location, on the edge of the village where it’s quieter, yet still just a ten-minute walk to the center. Beautiful views of the river and the jungle beyond, where macaques roam and even an orangutan made an appearance. The macaques occasionally ran across our roof and balcony — the kids were thrilled. We went on several treks with guides from this accommodation, and all of them were amazing. We saw 12 orangutans of all sizes, macaques, Thomas leaf monkeys, turtles, and even hornbills. For those interested in more unusual animals, I highly recommend the evening snake walk — it was simply incredible. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. We’re glad we chose Obiwan’s Indra Valley Inn for our stay in Bukit Lawang.

Speaking Catalan, English, Spanish and French, staff are willing to help at the 24-hour front desk. I was very happy with how close it is to that water and the boats are moored right out front. Food was different every meal, a mix of Spanish meals and Indonesian and also some Italian. Paco was super helpful organising our fast ferry over there and back, the staff were legends too. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
