It's a cool old Japanese house. There was a parking space, which is very nice. Generally, I love places that allow us to travel with our dog.

Beautiful home in quiet area of Shimanto, just a few minutes from the river! We didn’t have a car but had bicycles, which took us about 50 minutes from the city and closest shops! The owners were very responsive on message and made for a completely hassle free stay!

The owners put a lot of love into renovating this house. Many rooms were inspired by Ghibli movies which we enjoyed exploring - it was like an adventure.

There is a choice of two accommodations, either traditional approx 100 year old japanese house (tatami, futon) or modern but cozy cabin, all at sole disposal. Great for bigger groups (we were only 2). Naoko provides for a great game meat meal dinner (extra cost) and breakfast (included). She is an excellent cook and host.
