The owner and the staff were very attentive and always went out of their way to help us throughout our stay. The room that we booked was spacious for 4 people. We enjoyed the public bath experience and onsen. The meals were lovely, especially dinner was generous and delicious which amazingly was another thing we actually looked forward to apart from the hotbath after a long day out skiing. We would definitely book here again!

Amazing price-quality. This is the only hotel we stayed at in Japan so I have no reference with other hotels in this country, but we thought the hotel was amazing for what you were paying. You felt absolutely pampered by the staff, we were picked up at the train station, and taken to see the snow monkeys. We bought the dinner option and it was great. The hotel has an indoor and outdoor onsen, which was also great. My kids absolutely loved it.

The owner is so kind, so helpful and so worried about us. She’s really amazing made us feel in home and made our stay perfect! The property is near the station so is 30 minutes walking until the Onsen village but she arrange us free shuttle to the village and to the snow monkey mountain which was so nice!

Uotoshi Ryokan tiene una ubicación ideal en el barrio de Yudanaka Onsen, a 10 km de Ryuoo Ski Park, a 22 km de Zoológico de Suzaka y a 28 km de Templo Zenkoji. We loved the breakfast, very different from what we usually have at home.

Camas confortables y baño en la habitación pero duchas compartidas en los onsen. Estás en el lado del rió de las termas, lo bonito para pasear, el pequeño templo y las cafeterías están al otro lado del puente. El alojamiento vale la pena y me sentí bien tratado y bien alojado. Personal muy agradable!

We had the most exceptional experience at Shiga No Yu - their staff was incredibly accommodating despite our poor Japanese and they provided a clean onsen, warm and cosy accommodation and most importantly the most amazing meals for breakfast and dinner every day! If you are looking for a traditional experience right outside a chairlift, this is the place to be!
