We started our journey in Sri Lanka from Wilpattu National Park and we decided to spend two days in this magnificent place immersed in the nature, no chaos, just the sound of the birds. The rooms are simple, but they have everything you need. The owner Anta is such a nice person and also knows a lot about the area and its wildlife: he took us on a birding tour on the first day and we spotted many beautiful species. We also had a full day safari with Arshe, one of his guide, and its been magic! So I really can say that this place is fully recommended if you like nature, nice food and good people!

Nice and quiet setting in a farms area, although a bit far from the sea for those looking for beach holiday. For us was just fine as we enjoy daily long walks to discover the area. We had both breakfast and dinner. Very tasty, regards to the cook! The room has plenty of space to move around. We appreciated the high ceilings (had the upper floor) and nice views with palm trees canopy from the balcony.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ceylon Resort. Roshan and his family gave us a warm welcome and did everything in their power to make our stay rememberable. We highly recommend to do the full day safari which was perfectly organised by the hotel. The tour guide (Nici) was the sweetest person and made the safari even better. The hotel is very clean and the food (breakfast and dinner) is fabulous. 10/10

We had a really lovely stay at this place. Maduka is an incredibly welcoming host and made us feel comfortable from the very beginning. He helped us with every question we had. The location is simple and beautiful, right by the beach, and perfect if you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing place. The food cooked by his wife was also a highlight for us. It was very tasty and freshly prepared every day. A special experience for us was the dolphin tour with Maduka’s father, who is a fisherman. All in all, we had a really great time and can definitely recommend staying here.

My stay at JKL Maha Oya Villa was a true pleasure. This newly opened place is a small paradise — a beautiful, well-kept garden, a refreshing swimming pool, and the gentle Maha Oya river flowing right next door. From the very first moment, I felt completely at home. The staff were exceptionally friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring, always ready to help with a smile. The area is wonderfully quiet, making it an ideal place for deep rest, yoga, meditation, or simply stepping out of the busy rhythm of everyday life for a few days. The view from the veranda of my room was absolutely awesome — peaceful, green, and deeply calming, perfect for morning tea or watching the evening settle in. A beautiful little jewel yet to be discovered — I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for serenity, comfort, and authentic hospitality.
