Daniel is lovely and allowed for me to bring my bags early. He showed me a space to do laundry, the kitchen and lounge. The rooms and space is very traditional of a home stay. Simple but comfortable. If I come back to Iquitos, I will be staying here again.

A recently renovated campground situated in Iquitos, Retazos Eco Hotel features a garden. With garden views, this accommodation offers a balcony. The campground features rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. We had a nice stay here for x4 nights before our tour of the Amazon. It was nice to be somewhere peaceful so that we could properly relax & rest before our adventure. The hosts are very friendly too, the room was clean & the air conditioning & Wi-Fi worked well. The property is beautiful, very well designed and curated down to the smallest details. Everything is very clean and carefully maintained. The food is delicious, and the staff is simply amazing. Complimentary WiFi is offered throughout the property. That was an amazing experiance staying at indigenous community. Clean and cozy villas, nice people were hosting us. They know so much about local nature and can share with you a lot.

The rooms will provide guests with a dishwasher. Absolutely beautiful place, an oasis of peace and calm after the hectic city of Iquitos. It felt like a secret jungle hideout, tucked away down a tributary of the Amazon. The hosts were adorable and treated me like family, cooking delicious meals for me, even taking good care of me when I was a bit poorly with a head-cold. I don’t speak a word of Spanish, yet we managed to communicate just fine and even had some interesting conversations! Thanks also to Enrique, my jungle guide, who took me on a fascinating kayak tour. This time of year the whole area is flooded, so it almost feels like staying on a boat! But there were also kayaks available if I wanted to get out and explore. Although for me I was quite content to relax, meditate and soak up the good vibes. Thank you Liseth and Wiler - I will certainly be back if I ever return to the area.
