When I booked my trip with my friends, I honestly didn’t know what to expect. The reality is, it turned out to be an unforgettable experience for us. Despite being in the middle of the amazon jungle, Eywa offers you a comfortable stay in cozy and clean wood bungalows. They’re not only employing local community members, but also invested in being sustainable (solar panels, own huerto…), impressive infrastructure for being so remote in the jungle. Keyla and the whole staff made us feel at home, and we had really special and fun moments having delicious pisco sours at the bar :) Having a private guide and transportation from Iquitos adapted to our travel schedules was clearly a difference maker. It allows you to shape your tours and plan your activities according to your preference. Very recommended!!

The owners are great at answering questions and were generous about offering support when I got sick. As a bonus, very near the Amazon Rescue Centre, as well as a small local market and a range of restaurants. I stayed in a maloka with a very well equipped kitchen that was a joy to use.

With river views, Milía Amazon Lodge is set in Iquitos and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden and terrace. A patio with garden views is offered in every unit. Frank and the staff were very accommodating and made sure we were always taken care of. The food was amazing and we loved falling asleep to the sounds of the Amazon! The naturally beautiful location right on the water was just superb!

The hosts were more than lovely, helping out with everything: food, transport....The location is beautiful next to the river, where you can swim and chat (depending on your Spanish) with the local kids, the hammock on your private balcony is amazing, the dogs were sweet but most of all the host and owners were amazing, had a great day trip tour arranged by them too.

Although it was 3 hours time went fast watching the landscape go by. It was dry season for my visit so unfortunately the river way very low and the lodge was not on the river as per photographed on booking. I do wish this was explained. Otherwise i had an amazing 5 days. The accommodation was clean, the food was ok. It was different everyday but simple. My guide Larry was exceptional. His knowledge of the jungle, outstanding, and his English was perfect. We made a plan on arriving for what it would like to do in my time. Highlight was the caiman night tour and lily pads.
