Initially we were not sure of the booking but then we decided to give it a try. We took the chalet, and boy, THAT WAS WORTH! The views from the balcony, be it morning or evening, was so pretty. The room is very cozy, and there's great water pressure, and other facilities. And what's best, the beach is just outside the room. Walk 50 steps and you will be on the secluded bucana beach. It feels like a private beach with almost none to disturb you. A very special mention about the host, Dean. What a great guy, with great hospitality, extremely helpful and always happy to see us happy! He is always ready to accommodate any of your requests. He's always active in ensuring the quality of your stay. One understands how such a lovely passion built an intimate setting like The Sanctuary. The entire place is beautiful, and much like a home indeed. Sitting under the coconut trees, swinging, watching waves or reading books, it sure was very peaceful for us. We also enjoyed the food. The serving quantities were large, and very tasty. Shirley helped us with great suggestions according to our food preferences. Once again, thank you Dean and team for making our stay extra special!

Confortable, clean, cozy, quiet. Friendly staff and owners. I loved the beach: desert, nobody around beside fishermen, amazingly clean.

The location is about 10 minutes out of town in a taxi (150-200php) and is less than a 10 minute walk from the hot springs (a must see!). For us it was an ideal quieter spot, with friendly locals and away from the hustle and bustle of the strip. There is a great pizza place next door (seriously good though) and the homestay owners will make you breakfast for a small fee (at your request). They will help you out with taxis/kayaks/tours. There are also a few small shops in the area for water & snacks. The two bathrooms are shared but we had no issues waiting around ages for a shower or to use the toilet etc. There is a mosquito net on the window and a fan in the room. It’s very clean and meets all basic needs. We were sad to leave as everyone was so friendly but the homestay was all booked up, so we couldn’t extend our stay!

Loved everything! Perfect location, 10 minutes from El Nido town. Scooters on site. Exceptionally clean (cleaned every day). Good wi-fi, AC, dehumidifier, TV with Netflix, white noise machine, ear plugs. Comfortable bed. No bugs or mosquitos inside. Natural anti-mosquito spray and purified water available in dome. Equipped outside bathroom. Perfect little garden. Customized breakfast. Extraordinary staff (TJ, thank you for being such a good human being, it’s rarely seen these days). We travel a lot but this was probably in top 2 of our favourite accomodations ever.

Pure Excellence. Exceeds expectations. Donna and Arlyn are so nice and friendly. Nothing is to much trouble for them. It is not crowded at all. Food is excellent, so is service. You can't improve perfection. Thank you everyone. The even prepared sandwiches to take with us. We left at 4 a.m. Sandwiches were made fresh that morning.
