The host was very friendly and welcoming. He made us feel at home, and we were able to use the different areas of his garden and verandah to sit and relax rather than just staying in our room. There are lots of activities here which was great because we were staying for 3 nights. We used the swimming pool, the pool table and relaxed in the garden. It was nice to have a breakfast provided each day, and we then went out to eat. There is an excellent pizza restaurant 10 minutes walk away and an outdoor food area next to the canal which is a 5 minute drive away. Really, we were able to use the house as our own, and the host was very helpful and kind.

The room was wonderful, large and comfortable with a balcony. Recently decorated with style. Great views over countryside. Although we had a dog with us and had to eat on a terrace the food was, of course, fantastic and delicious. The grounds were exceptional. Within easy reach of Calais.

The flat was big and renovated sympathetically to period standards. It was really well equipped and I loved the set up of the pool. Although it wasn’t really a ‘private’ pool and was shared with other guests we usually had a big pool to ourselves which was a real luxury. Each property has a private garden with seating. The kids loved the trampoline also.
