Location in quiet surroundings. Only noise is the stream below. Host was very accommodating and helpful. We mostly ate at the property - authentic Indonesian food was prepared by the host’s wife each day and was very good. Well worth eating in rather than the local restaurant. Host arranged excursions to nearby waterfalls and also Tetebatu.

I loved Ayom. It felt like a calming sanctuary in a busy city. You walk in and you feel the calm, the array of plants, polished concrete dining room, open kitchen. Beautiful decor. As it is only a small hotel with 13 rooms, it's very personal, the staff were just so welcoming and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. I stayed for two weeks due to my husband being in hospital close by. Chef Shita and her team were so thoughtful preparing food, of dietary requirements for me to take to him. The front of house staff Mae, Jessie, Winda, Edgar could not have done more for me, their company when I was staying there alone, checking in on my well being and when my husband came to stay post surgery they were the best - as was the healing food which was always freshly cooked with great ingredients it was amazing !! Along with their gentle nature and kindness it was exactly what he needed - peaceful, quite- yes the call to prayer is heard but it's all part of the charm, we found ourselves in place that was just so cathartic and exactly what he needed to recuperate. We booked directly with Ayom so there was a bonus of an additional fruit offering and fresh juice in our room, along with home made cookies. Delicious ! Other bonuses - the swimming pool, generally no-one else but me.. the closeness to all the amenities we needed, the closed street for the Sunday morning market, the security staff at the gate all so kind and helpful. I felt safe at all times, walking into town, around the paddy fields close by. Truly grateful we stayed here and hope one day we return.

We stayed for two nights at Daphne Homestay and had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. This is much more than simply a place to sleep — it feels peaceful, personal and genuinely connected to local Lombok life. The property is surrounded by beautiful tropical greenery and has a very relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was included, and the family made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. It was a refreshing change from staying in a large, impersonal hotel. One of the absolute highlights was joining the Anggrek Putih Lombok Cooking Class located at the property. We first explored the garden and learned about the herbs, spices and ingredients used in Indonesian and Lombok cooking. Then we cooked together with the local family. It was completely hands-on, very well organized and also a lot of fun. We prepared many different traditional dishes and afterwards sat down to enjoy everything we had cooked. The food was delicious, but what made the experience special was learning about the ingredients, local traditions and everyday life in Lombok. It didn't feel like a commercial tourist activity. It felt genuine, friendly and personal. Staying at Daphne Homestay and being able to experience Anggrek Putih Cooking Class at the same property was a perfect combination. You can relax, enjoy the garden and then have one of the best cultural and food experiences of your trip without having to travel anywhere. After two nights we left feeling that we had experienced a much more authentic side of Lombok. We would happily stay here again and would especially recommend it to travelers who want more than just a hotel room. A memorable stay, fantastic cooking experience and genuinely warm hospitality. Highly recommended!

Loved everything - it’s super clean, rooms are big with smart tv lounge, kettle, charging station - everything you need. Toiletries and water are provided along with tea, coffee and fruit all day, the pool is so clean and cool, the gardens are gorgeous and the staff are so gentle and kind and attentive. Breakfast was huge with exceptional choices - we have already booked to come back for an 8 night stay.😊

This hotel is under new management, A real diamond. Excellent location close to the airport. Perfect for travelers who have very early flights to catch. There is "Gojek" ride share (like Uber, and very easy to download) driver on standby who can get you to the airport, or Mandalika beach, Mataram city, Senggigi beach, and the ferry/fast boat terminals or any otherplace in Lombok. The restaurants are good, however, in house dining options are a little limited.
