After a somewhat difficult border-crossing from SA, we were happy we finally made it to the guesthouse. We were contacted by Miguel through Whatsapp a couple of times already and he gave us a warm welcome. Especially since we were a little stressed after the border-crossing and driving in the dark in Mozambique, we were really happy with his care. We could park the car behind the fence, which felt safe too. Since we were late and restaurants were already closing, he suggested to do the paperwork the next morning and showed us the room and guesthouse straight away. Everything looked great, the room was perfect, great aircon, Wifi was great, there is a small pool and kitchen you can use. He sent us a few suggestions for restaurants nearby and we had amazing food there! All in all, it was a great stay and Miguel's kindness and good care really helped us. He offered we could text him during our stay in Mozambique if needed. On our way back, two weeks later, we stayed for another night and were happy to be back at the guesthouse again. Miguel was not there but his colleague gave us another great restaurant suggestion, one of the best restaurants in Maputo probably with great view over the brdige. A great way to end our time in Mozambique. There is also a Spar supermarket and ATM nearby if needed. Would totally recommend this guesthouse!

Its neat, well located area. Staff is supper. Everything is working. They have a pool, even though it was raining most of the time, so couldn't use it. But great wonderfull place, I will be coming back.

We loved pretty much everything about the Figtree Guest House! The room was spacious and comfortable, the garden was lush and exotic, and the pool was absolutely lovely. The breakfast buffet offered a great selection of high-quality food, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. We really enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this place!

The staff was very accommodating, lovely and friendly. Nice breakfast and relaxing seating area (Deli meats, breads, fruits, cereals, coffee, juices etc). Very peaceful as our family was the only one in the 2nd guesthouse where they have a very small restaurant. The 1st house was full, so we cant comment on it. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, nice sized comfortable beds/pillows, and clean/big mosquito nets. Recommend accommodation, if you are not interested in hotel rooms. Restaurant was nice to sit down for drinks and music with lovely small garden and small splash pool (not for swimming as its more for abidance).

The house is beautiful and the garden was so amazing. I practically lived in the pool due to Maputo heat ❤️❤️❤️I would recommend it... Don't knock it till U enter, it's a small haven ❤️
