I understand why this place is rated an almost perfect 10. We booked last minute (20min prior to arrival) and you would have thought they'd been preparing for us all day. We had the entire place to ourselves during low season but they didn't skimp on anything. I cannot say enough good things about everything from the room to the cellar tour to the fresh made warm croissants at breakfast. It was perfect.

DAM Hotel is a luxury boutique hotel that is well situated to explore not only the Slovenian wine region, but also to easily explore all of Slovenia's many charms. The hotel is very tastefully decorated and beautifully landscaped, including a newly added pool. There is a lovely bar that serves the restaurant for pre/post dining cocktails and is also used for the breakfast service. Michelin starred DAM Restaurant situated in the hotel is something to be experienced! It is helmed by the charming chef Uroš Fakuč and every course is personally supervised by him; mouthwatering seafood prepared to perfection! And highly recommend getting the wine pairing; Uroš pairs every course with wine from the region. The meal was so good, we went back the next night; chef Uroš prepared a seven-course meal just for us so that we didn’t have to eat the same thing twice! Talk about personalized service. If you are visiting Slovenia, especially the wine region, there is no reason to look any further than Dam Boutique Hotel and Restaurant!

Beautiful housing set up with multiple areas to utilize as you needed. The pool, outdoor kitchen, grill, outdoor tables/chairs. Plenty of space to enjoy the wonderful weather and beautiful scenery. The breakfast was delicious although an extra charge. Plenty of free parking, even for larger family vehicles. Host and staff were very kind and willing to answer any questions. Suggestions were made for places to visit/eat as well as maps to help navigate. There are wine tastings 2 nights a week. I was unable to attend but wish I could have.

We had an excellent four-night stay at the villa of the Brataševec family, who welcomed us with warmth and heartfelt hospitality. The room (and the entire villa) is beautifully furnished, featuring stunning paintings by our host, Miranda. They treated us like family, serving us delicious breakfasts, and their son Timon showed us how they produce their special organic olive oils. :) Timon also arranged a wine tasting for us at Otton Reya’s nearby winery - highly recommended!. Otton even called a friend who kindly lent us e-bikes (40eur/bike/day), allowing us to explore the breathtaking Brda landscape. The location is perfect you can walk to Šmartno in just 30 minutes and enjoy amazing food and wine there. Being right on the Italian border, there's plenty to see and do in the area. Thank you, Nadian, Miranda, and Timon, we will definitely be back! <3

Really well maintained, super comfortable mattress, beautiful deck and view from salon, and most of all the host/winemaker was very gracious. The breakfast he prepared and hand delivered to our room each morning was wonderful.
