From the moment we arrived, we knew we’d found somewhere special - the absolute antidote to modern, hectic life. Immersed in nature but with rustic luxury. Complete peace. Our garden room had complete privacy with daily monkey, elephant shrew and lizard visitors. Our children couldn’t believe it! The staff were kind, helpful and easy going. The food was just delicious with a constantly changing menu but also staples for our fussy children! The cocktails were also exceptional. A perfect addition to watching the sun setting!! The free paddle boards, snorkelling gear and kayaks were an absolute bonus. Our children loved the ping pong, table football and pool table too. We absolutely LOVED being able to step straight from the garden steps into the sea at high tide. The bluest water we’ve ever seen. Unguja Lodge is a little slice of paradise. A totally unique and special place that we will remember always. Thank you so very much to Audrey and all of her team. You made our stay perfect.

the breakfast was super..and the location is very nice

We had a great stay at Mandarin. Felt welcome from the beginning, the room was big and the sea view amazing both from the room and the restaurant. Enjoyed the beach. The location is great and the staff very friendly. We initially got a different room than the one we booked, but the hotel manager went out of his way to make up for it. Would stay there again.

I loved the place! I felt like in a paradise. Little huts in a beautiful garden, yellow birds, lovely monkeys, a lot of options where to rest, nice views, good bar, and verydelicious food in the restaurant. And people working there were amazing! So kind and friendly, always willing to help. I was very happy there 🙂

Super friendly staff - nothing is too much trouble. Great food and entertainment; comfortable and beautiful rooms. Small and intimate - no noise, only the sea! Beautiful surroundings, fabulous breakfasr. Book! You wont regret it!

Salida is a wonderful, boutique style resort with 8 rooms right on the ocean. We had a wonderful stay.

VeriDiana is a true gem!!! We have had a great time there, especially that we very much needed to rest and relax in a nice athmosphere. Exotic garden, in which rustic but comfortable bungalows are located, is very well mantained and clean. Even dry leaves are constantly swept away from sandy pathes, nice to walk on. We hoped to see more monkeys, but the few which visited us were very nice. We also had a resident bird talking to us all the time from the tree. The meals were very good and tasty. The whole staff was very friendly (this is common to Zanzibar!!!). Well carrying hand of friendly and efficient manager was seen all the time. The Internet was available only in public space when we arrived, but was efficiently installed during one day only in all bungalows.. Africa! One can evidently feel, how much the life is nicer and easier if everybody - you included! - is friendly and smiling to each other! The views are beatifull. Nothing more to expect.

I loved staying here and actually came back to spend another couple of nights here! The staff is so friendly and the entire property is beautiful. It's a short walk to a beautiful little beach. Beautiful for sunset!

I liked the view, it was a breathtaking view especially at high tide and sunsets.

All the staff are absolutely amazing, special shout out to all the bar staff and Enoch they really made us feel soo welcome! This boutique hotel is beautifully designed, simple but tasteful and if you want to relax and recharge the batteries the perfect place. Also the locally sourced food is super tasty. We really loved our stay and hope to be back again soon.

This is such a relaxing resort to stay at. Beautiful sea views from the bedroom balconies. Super comfortable beds, lovely hot showers. I was travelling with my son who is vegan (I'm not vegan) and the food was delicious. There was a non-vegan fish of the day available sometimes too. Beautiful sunsets, plenty of lounges and chairs around the pool and in the magnificent gardens. The perfect place to just relax and chill out. Thanks to all the staff, and particularly Jackline who is so welcoming, and nothing is too much trouble. I also loved that therei s a cooking school here, assisting local women to learn valuable skills for financial independance. I hope we'll be back soon.
