Location on the beach. Close to many nice restaurants. Kauai is very beautiful and I highly recommend a visit to the island. Islander Resort Oceanfront #149 is a good base for exploring the island.

The room was very spacious and comfortable. Good choice of restaurants within a walking distance. Sunrise from the courtyard was incredible. Breakfast to go was handy - sugary cereal, fruit, yogurt etc. The roosters let us sleep till 5:30 which was generous compared to roosters in different part of the island.

Excellent value, nicely updated, large room and bathroom. We overlooked the water and the walking path, which was a nice bonus. Didn't try the small pool, but it looked inviting. Only hitch was the internet was off and on (we were there for four nights and had a big storm one night) and the TV system didn't work consistently. Management did send someone to fix it after a couple of phone calls. Very peaceful and quiet family-oriented place, with several decent restaurants and stores nearby.
