his hotel is a gem of a find. The location is amazing, right on the beach. We had a “partial sea view” room but from our balcony that was in the four story building had a great view, we watched the sun rise from the balcony. It was quiet and we rarely heard other guests. The room was a 2 x double bed, lots of space and very clean. Beds were super comfortable and had everything we needed. The staff were so welcoming and helpful from the moment we arrived. We were allowed to park and use the beach and changing rooms before checkin. They even called us early to say the room was ready. The pool area was lovely to chill out at and the breakfast was awesome. Lots of choices and our kids had lots to eat to kickstart their day. We opted out of house keeping during our 4 night stay but we’re able to get fresh towels and top up of coffees etc. Nothing bad to say about this hotel, roll out of bed and straight to the beach. Nice place to eat opposite called Kill Devil Grill. Beach was lovely and clean. Special shout out to Tracey on reception who was so lovely and kind. Thank you John Yancey Staff and hotel. Highly recommend to couples and families

Very stylish, contemporary inside rooms/areas yet nostalgic, appealing facade. Immaculately clean room. Firm yet comfortable beds. Soft linens. Well-stocked for short stay. Impressed with full kitchen (glass top range, microwave, full/small fridge, sink, and mini stainless steel fridge) DELICIOUS full breakfast and the pearl sugar Belgian waffles were — insanely good. Great service from Jessica at front desk. Really appreciate the full ramp into the property. Elevators work great. Small but lively indoor pool.

I spent five nights and four days at the Mariner Inn & Suites the last week of May and had an absolutely wonderful time! The location was fantastic, not on the main highway so quiet, but relatively close to restaurants, shops, and activities. But the best thing is that it's right on the beach! It was literally a minute walk from my room directly to the beach (and I wasn't in an oceanfront room)! It was lovely to sit in the Adirondack chairs on the porch outside the room and enjoy the breeze and listen to the ocean waves. The queen suite was a nice size -- small living room with an efficiency kitchen, full bathroom with tub and shower, and a nice-sized bedroom with a queen bed plus TVs in both the living room and bedroom. Central, personally controlled air conditioning/heating kept the whole suite at a very comfortable temperature. They even provided a broom and dustpan to sweep up any sand carried in from the beach. The pool was located just across the driveway from my room. It was plenty large, had easy steps in and out, and depths ranging from 4 to 6 feet. The free breakfast each day was very tasty and provided a good choice of both hot and cold items. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would love to stay here again!
