We had a fantastic few days here. Watching Kingfishers and the other wildlife go about their business from our balcony was so good. Dawn is a fantastic host who was incredibly helpful, as was Chris the owner. Perfect place for relaxing.

The perfect combination of luxury, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality in a way that few places can pull off. I had an absolutely wonderful bush break at Mukwa. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the passion and dedication of the entire team and especially the owners. The property itself is stunning—immaculately maintained, beautifully designed, and set against breathtaking views of the Zambezi River. The sunsets here are simply unforgettable. My itinerary, planned on site, was perfectly balanced, offering a mix of exciting activities and restful downtime. The lodge offers a spa for relaxation, a gym for fitness enthusiasts, a wine cellar for indulgence, and a charming gift shop. Everything is thoughtfully curated. Highlights of my stay included the daily boat cruises, where I enjoyed wildlife sightings along the river with knowledgeable guides Current and Alan, and the cooking class on traditional Zambian cuisine led by very skilled chefs Mike and Royd. The food throughout my stay was exceptional. Lingering way past check-out time didn’t make leaving any easier but I am convinced returning will cure the nostalgia.

Zambezi Dusk is located on a beautiful property with views of frequent visits from elephant, buffalo, and plains game right across the river. There is a spacious deck with various comfortable seating options for viewing wildlife, dining, or enjoying a drink. The food quality and presentation is that of what you would find at an upscale restaurant. We had some of our most favorite meals at Zambezi dusk and it was only 4 nights out of a 22 day stay! I can not say enough about the kitchen and wait staff! The game boat ride was a great bonus! All of the staff went above and beyond in many aspects, we can’t thank them enough. As far as location we loved that it was secluded and private exactly what we were looking for. The gardens and view from restaurant are better than pictures.

Everything was amazing, we love this wonderful place and it was a pleasure meeting Hans the owner. As a surprise after our wedding we received a bucket full of our favourite drinks, a bottle of wine and some snacks. This was just amazing and we didnt expect it at all.
