Con vista a la montaña, Feriengut Unterhochstätt está ubicado en Schwendt y tiene un restaurante, un salón compartido, snack bar, jardín, alberca al aire libre durante todo el año y terraza. Everything, the nocturn walk through the woods with Glühwein and kinderpunch for the kids around the fire at the end was a nice touch! Thanks to Herr Ballberger for organizing this. We chose Tyrol as our holiday destination and Walchsee based on recommendations. The guesthouse met our expectations, the accommodation was comfortable, the breakfast rich and the surroundings beautiful. We appreciate that in Tyrol, tourists are a part of everyday life, and it was busy around the guesthouse - cows with typical bells were grazing nearby, farmers were mowing the grass. It rained for two days of our stay, but even that can be solved. In the guide we received, there are a number of activities that can be done in the rain, so we went through the fortress in nearby Kufstein. In the vicinity, we recommend the gorge of the Griesbach stream (Griesbachklamm, the starting point is the parking lot in the village of Erpfendorf). A circular walk with an elevation gain of approx. 300 m and a length of 11 km leads through two farmhouses where you can have refreshments. Payment is only possible in cash, as in many other places. If you have children, the Steinplatte mountain (height 1869 m), accessible by cable car from Weidring, is definitely worth a visit. At the top, you can spend a few hours in the Triassic Park, where children can play archaeologists, poke around in the sand and run around. The good news is that the price of the cable car includes both trips (up and down) and there is a discount for the visitor card. Even if there is a cable car going up, it does not lead to the top itself, and one has to earn its way to reach it... There is a restaurant right in Weidring near the church where you can pay by card. There are many attractions in Walchsee, especially the lake with water sports, but also several stables with the possibility of riding horses. Of the restaurants, we tried only the Pizzeria - beware, it is hopelessly full in the evening, but if you come around five in the afternoon, you can eat without any problems.
