Surrounded by tropical gardens, Maya Mountain Lodge & Tours offers an outdoor pool, and bright accommodation with free Wi-Fi and wonderful garden views. San Ignacio town is 2.5 km away. The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. They thought of little things in the room that helped make our stay easy like salt and pepper as well as oil for cooking. The onsite restaurant was fabulous. Ray gave us a wonderful cooking class. The service and quality of food was second to none in the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. The night hike was great and also very informative, although my husband found it a bit physically challenging. Wilder (sp?) was very passionate and knowledgeable about birds, animals and trees and other vegetation. We learned a lot on this hike. He knew that I wanted to see a toucan and cane to find me when one was visible. He is an amazing asset to the team. The grounds are lush and beautiful. Waking up to the birds every morning was like heaven. Luna the little cat visited us in the mornings on our shared deck. She is very sweet. Thank you so much! We would definitely go back if staying in the San Ignacio area again!

Frankie, the owner and operator, was amazing. He helped book all of our tours and made sure that everything was as it should be with the home. He picked us up at the airport and drove us back with a stop at the ziplines on the way back to Belize City. His home is very nice and located about 2 miles outside of downtown San Ignacio, so it's an easy trip into town for dinner.

Howler monkeys and plenty of birds made every morning memorable. I have never seen such detail and thought go into the decor and feel of each room. We felt at home here and will be back.
