The breakfast was exceptional, with numerous options and plenty of beautiful spaces to view the surrounding grounds. Dinners offered good seasonal and local specialties. All staff we encountered were friendly and very professional. We did not use the cosmetic services in the beauty clinic, but I did have an excellent Thai massage with a brilliant masseuse associated with the resort (ask about this before arriving).

Cycling is so easy as the hotel really is in the middle of the forest but glad we had e-bikes as steep slopes all around. The bridge directly into the forest was an instant immersion into to Schwarzwald. We also took advantage of the wellness program and did qi-jong in the fresh air and reminded ourselves to slow down and breathe! The food was delicious and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
