After a long day on the Camino del Norte my expectations of the accomodation available at the tiny hamlet of Guemes were not high. How wrong I could be . Guemes has a charm of its own and Pension La Terraza was one of the nicest places I have stayed while in the Camino. Roberto the host was very welcoming. The room large, really clean and very modern. Most importantly the food in the restaurant was excellent. In particular there menu offer a wide selection of authentic Cantabrian dishes. The ones I tried were some of the most filling and tasty food I have had in my time in Spain.

The location was perfect for us. We wanted a peaceful getaway with a pool for the kids. The view from the hotel is breath-taking. From the pool, you look out over a terrace of fruit trees to spectacular rolling hills and mountains. There is silence except for the sound of cowbells in the distance. The room was immaculate and the food in the restaurant was top class. The village is rural and authentic with working farms and and pretty gardens.

The hotel is located in a very good location. The staff gave us many recommendations on what to visit. Very clean modern rooms, with everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The jacuzzi in the room is a very nice addition. Everything was great. I recommend it to everyone.

Everything was excellent from the hosts to the facilities and location! This wonderful Posada has been recently refurbished in order to make your stay as comfortable as possible! The two hosts were very professional, efficient and friendly at the same time! They managed everything impeccably! The room was spotless with daily housekeeping. The breakfast was fabulous and the only diner we had at the Posada too! The communal library area and outside spaces are well thought! Thanks again for the stay!

A very nice place to stay for a week. The hosts was a very nice family who was very accomodating and friendly and helped with anything we needed. The pool was warm and clean. Rooms was very clean and very nice. Beds were comfortable. Good kitchen area and possible to sit both inside and outside in the garden. The two family dogs brought extra joy and company. If we ever come back to that parts of Spain we will definetely try to rent here again. Thank you for making our holiday even greater than expected!
