Housed in a former convent, built in the 15th century, the Parador de Plasencia hotel has kept its stunning, original architecture, including spacious hallways, archways and courtyards. Everything was excellent; even the guided tour of the beautiful building and its restoration.

I had to work for some of my stay and the wifi was fast. I left at 4am on my last day and they packed me a very sweet to-go breakfast.

Sierra De Monfrague Apartments are in the centre of Torrejon el Rubio, on the edge of Monfragüe National Park. There is free Wi-Fi, and free parking is available nearby. The appartement is nothing fancy but clean and adequate. For us the bonus was that we could park our bicycles in the garage and, a nice swimming pool with recliners a 100m away. Wonderful place to relax.
