Super chilled and comfy place with a special atmosphere. If you want to switch off and relax, come out here. If you love Cognac and good food, likewise. And the two lovely hosts might have some surprising things to tell you, too. Chris and Tracey were amazing, they contacted me before my stay to say local restaurants were closed on Mondays and would I like a meal and small dessert for a minimal fee which I jumped at the chance of. the meal was amazing and Chris and Tracey were really friendly and happy to chat about the house and how long they had been in France. Room was huge with a great big bathroom too! I had a fantastic nights sleep - everything was perfect

Jon and Suzi went out of their way to make sure I had everything I could possibly need - including offering plant based (vegan) food, a great welcome and plenty of garden space for my dog. A beautiful pool and a whole variety of seats in sun and shade to enjoy the garden. A very comfortable room. G & T from the bar to enjoy in the garden. Lovely walks in the lanes nearby with lots of hollyhocks along the outside wall and along the lane. Very near to Ruffec and to the Charente river.

All of it - the Chateau and grounds are just stunning. Staff are incredible, facilities are 5 star. Our room was an absolute treat. The spa was a huge bonus and all of the staff (especially the spa) were so friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend enough.

The chateau is located in the countryside north of the town of Cognac, so you need a car to get there. The welcome from Sebastien was extremely friendly. The room was spacious with a large and comfortable bed in which we slept very well. The bathroom was spacious and modern. Despite modernization inside, the Chateau has retained its charm and, combined with the surrounding countryside, is an ideal place to relax. On the evening of our arrival and after a long drive, we were served an excellent three-course meal so that we didn't have to search for a restaurant. Of course, we finished off with cognac from the region. Breakfast in the morning consisted of croissants, bread and a large selection of cheese, honey and jams as well as excellent coffee.
