It's true that it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the beach, but on the way there are many shops, stalls, restaurants, cafes, and a very nice park, so you won't get bored. For those who prefer running, there are many jogging tracks close to the beach and through the park - so you won't waste time on your way to the beach.
