Located in Lamu, 200 metres from 18th Century Swahili House Museum, Ttunu House offers accommodation with free WiFi, a terrace or a balcony and access to a garden and a year-round outdoor pool. Housed in a building dating from 18th century, this villa is 600 metres from the Riyadha Mosque. The accommodation provides luggage storage space, private check-in and check-out and organising tours for guests. We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a private pool, mountain view and a terrace, Milimani Villa-Fully airconditioned Villa is set in Shela. Among the facilities at this property are a housekeeping service and bicycle parking, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Staff on-site can arrange airport transfers. The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

With pool views, this accommodation provides a balcony. Each room is equipped with a patio with city views. Andavelo House far exceeded my expectations. The place is beautifully finished, with very large rooms, extremely comfortable beds, nice bathrooms and a cool and pleasant sitting area downstairs. The plunge pool provided a welcome antidote to the heat. The staff were amazing, with Safari seeing to my every need, and Abu producing fresh and delicious meals. A real refuge.

Complimentary airport transfer on a boat. A convenient 20-minute boat ride (1000 KSh, or about US$8, each way) to the historic Lamu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool, Banana House and Wellness Centre is located in Shela village, Lamu 2.7 km from Gallery Baraka. The property is set 2.8 km from Lamu Fort. The property features garden and sea views, a barbecue, and free WiFi is available. The location was amazing. The staff were welcoming and friendly. They accommodated our needs and helped us with ways to get around the town. The environment was healing and very warm. Absolutely enjoyed it.
