We stayed at Ttunu House in January 2025, and it was simply incredible! The house is beautiful, lovingly restored, and tastefully furnished. There is truly not a single thing to complain about! The Ttunu House team—Cornelius, Stephen, and Jackson—did everything to make our stay perfect and unforgettable. Stephen cooks whatever guests desire, with only the cost of groceries charged, while the service itself is included. Upon request, we had the best tuna steaks of our lives, served with grilled vegetables and Kachumbari (a Kenyan tomato salad). For those looking for an extraordinary vacation far from tourist hotspots but without sacrificing luxury, Ttunu House is the perfect choice! We would love to come back.

The house is wonderful, spacious, luxury and quiet. Bassam is a great host and the staff are excellent too. We had a great time exploring from here or just enjoying doing nothing much at all. It is a bit outside Shela, but not that far and a nice village walk.

A convenient on-site rooftop restaurant with a bar and a nice breezy view of the ocean canal and boats. Excellent service with attention to detail. Tito and Bonnie deserve a special mention!!! Complimentary airport transfer on a boat. A convenient 20-minute boat ride (1000 KSh, or about US$8, each way) to the historic Lamu Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You have many terraces to relax, the pool always clean and available. The rooms are essentials but clean. It is right in Lamu old town, and it is an oasis of peace. The breakfast here is amazing (with fruits and eggs) and they change it every day. The owner also gave us good recommendations for fish restaurants.

That place is absolutely amazing 😍 we had the privilege of getting the big room and the balcony has a perfect view over the ocean and the harbour and the promenade. We really enjoyed the spacious room. It's all ready nicely designed as well. But our favourite thing in pwani house was our host Ibrahim who made the best breakfast for us and was always available during our stay. We will definitely book there again!

We loved this property! It was such a fun stay and different than all our other hotels on our trip. Totally recommend the 3rd floor room because it has its own balcony. The breezes in the morning out there were incredible. Jamhuri was a great host and helped us book a walking tour and sunset dhow. Will be back!
