Imasha, Romesh, Nilantha and all the other staff make you feel right at home. The food is freshly prepared and tastes great. The pool is clean, large and a nice way to cool down. If you like nature and some quiet time, you should definitely plan to stay at Ging Oya. I know, I will again next time!

It's also possible to book a yoga session or a massage, as well as a boat tour of the lagoon, and they have a kite surf school nearby if that's your thing!

The property has a wide park and offers beautiful lagoon views. The restaurant is excellent, and we recommend choosing half board (breakfast and dinner), as it was the best food we had during our three-week trip in Sri Lanka and there are very limited options to eat in Kalpitiya. The staff were very kind and helpful, with a special mention to our waiter, Ahamed, who was attentive throughout our stay. The staff also helped us organize activities nearby, including a lagoon boat tour and kitesurfing lessons.

The place itself is incredibly beautiful, set right on the serene lagoon, offering breathtaking views and a peaceful atmosphere throughout our entire stay. The service was exceptional—every single staff member went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. They were attentive, friendly, and consistently made us feel genuinely welcomed. One of the highlights of our stay was the food prepared by their amazing chef. After dining at several restaurants in the area, I can confidently say that none matched the quality, taste, or presentation of the meals we enjoyed at Villa Sethawadi. Each dish was expertly crafted, delicious, and beautifully presented. The pool area was inviting and well-maintained, perfect for relaxing after a day of adventures. For kite and windsurfing enthusiasts, Villa Sethawadi is ideally located, allowing easy access directly from the property to the lagoon. A word of caution though—be mindful of the sharp thorns around the area, or better yet, use the hotel's own kite school service, which conveniently takes you by boat to the prime surfing spots on the other side of the lagoon. Overall, our stay at Villa Sethawadi was exceptional. Highly recommended!
