We arrived very late at night, but the team went above and beyond to ask for a late dinner for us also which was really thoughtful and much appreciated. room is extremely spacious, with a large washroom that gives the feeling of staying in a private villa. The sea view from the room is breathtaking and truly adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Breakfast was another highlight we requested a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast, and they prepared it beautifully. Everything was fresh, delicious, and well presented. The staff are genuinely warm, friendly, and attentive, always ready to assist with a smile. A special mention goes to Nishantha, who gave us incredible support throughout our stay and made us feel very well taken care of. Overall, this place exceeded our expectations with its comfort, hospitality, and beautiful setting. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and relaxing stay.

Beautiful oasis by the river. Bungalows are comfortable, cool, and tastefully decorated. Be sure to wander on the path at dusk and at dawn to see all the birds. I would give 11/10 if I could! Really cool tree house rooms on the peninsula. The host and cook is amazing and he makes delicious meals. The rooms are clean and spacious. The bathroom is partially open air which was really cool. The hammocks and tables made it a peaceful haven. The pool was still being made when I went but it will be a really nice addition. I highly recommend this place.

Anawasal offers lagoon front accommodation and yoga classes in Kalpitiya. Free private parking is available on site. A very relaxing stay, morning yoga was wonderful and the salt water pool a treat.

We had the best time staying at Wild Wadi Wilpattu. The property is located about 5 - 10 minutes from the Wilpattu park entrance which not only means you can easily book a safari but you also experience some incredible wild life just steps outside your door. We cannot praise the staff enough. Everyone we spoke with was so nice and so accommodating. It’s very clear that the folks at Wild Wadi are very passionate about animals, the environment and sharing all of their knowledge with their guests. We had breakfast and dinner at Wild Wadi each night. We had traditional Sri Lankan meals and it was some of the best food we had so far on our trip. We would highly recommend booking at Wild Wadi if you are visiting Wilpattu - such an incredible experience! We will be back!

Our stay at Villa Sethawadi was, without a doubt, the best we’ve ever had. The villa is absolutely stunning, full of charm, and perfectly located for kitesurfing. The restaurant deserves a special mention — we loved it so much that we ate there almost every single day. What truly made this place unforgettable is the people. The staff are exceptional — genuinely kind, attentive, and warm. A heartfelt thank you to Roshan, Telan, and the entire team for making us feel completely at home, and for going above and beyond to help us prepare such special moments: the proposal, a birthday celebration, Christmas and all our excursions. Villa Sethawadi will always hold a special place in our hearts, and there’s no doubt we will return.
