Jacinta’s place is a gem! The house is very clean, the breakfast was absolutely amazing, and we enjoyed chatting with the host and getting to know her two cute dogs! The bed is very comfortable, and the water pressure in the shower was perfect. There was even chocolates thoughtfully placed on the bed, which was a “sweet” touch. I would highly recommend Jacinta and Mike’s warm and welcoming place.

We walked across the road to the rocky beach for sunset each evening, where you could hear a pin drop, very peaceful! This is a lodge that caters to campers as well as folks renting kitchenette rooms, like us. People come here for the fishing, and I heard it was very good. If we had stayed another day, it would have been fun to go out on a charter boat for a day of fishing. We went on excursions each day, one was to hike the Coromandel Coastal Walkway, just fantastic. There is no shortage of fun things to see and do here. You do have to bring groceries with you, as there is no restaurant nearby.
