The courtyard with the small farm and the indoor and outdoor pool give the place a special charm. Breakfast was very good and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A wonderful place to relax.

Vale de São Torcato Hotel Rural is situated in Guimarães, 4.3 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. We loved our stay in this hotel. - Spacious and very spacious comfortable rooms and bathroom - Kitchen amenities fully equipped - Loved the swimming pool - Beautiful and calming surroundings - My children specifically loved the playground in front of the hotel where you can pick up the midget golf equipment at the reception and also using the hotel bikes - Good breakfast - Welcoming and very helpful personnel/reception - Parking in front of the door

Set in Viana do Castelo and facing Lima River, the AP Dona Aninhas is 2 minutes' walking from the city centre. Everything was just really lovely- room was luxurious- very clean - beds were very comfy - breakfast was delicious- staff were great

Situated in a 12th century Augustin Convent, the Pousada Mosteiro de Guimaraes overlooks Guimarães. Rooms are equipped with modern amenities including air conditioning and cable TV. Leandro at the desk and Lara at the bar and breakfast were very accommodating, welcoming and informative. They made our 3-day stay an excellent one.

WOW! I cannot thank the hosts enough for everything. There were a group of 10 of us staying here, friends who were all on a hiking trip and we all just loved it so much. sandra and the staff were all amazing. they went out of their way at no cost to put an extra little sleep mat from a last minute additional friend, and thanks to them he was able to have an incredible holiday with all his friends. so thank you for giving that to us. its means a lot. thank you for our beautiful clean and gorgeous rooms, our lovely breakfasts, and for the pool. we did a pool day after our hike and just sat there all day enjoying it and the view. Also, I loved picking up the keys from a lockbox because its helps the hosts as they are not waiting around for us to arrive all day, and it means that we can turn up anytime if we are delayed on the road. huge thank you to the host, communication was so fantastic and thank you for going above and beyond for us and the recommendations. It makes travelling so much more enjoyable. Also, this place is such great value for money. The village is amazing and being from London we can say the food was absolutely outstanding. such high quality in both restaurants we went to. remember the Portuguese are the kindest/loveliest people and to take it slow at dinner and relax. enjoy it all! We were looking for a hotel to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was important for us to find a pet-friendly place. We came across this hotel and immediately loved how it looked in the photos. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised — everything was even more beautiful, stylish, and authentic than we had imagined. We were so impressed by the quality: the bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, the bed linens were luxurious, everything felt like a true five-star experience. The towels were large and fluffy, and there were cozy blankets thoughtfully placed for guests to wrap themselves up while enjoying the balcony. They even provided sun hats for strolls through the vineyards — such attention to detail made everything feel so special. Waking up to the sound of birds singing in the morning was pure magic. It brought back nostalgic memories of childhood visits to our grandmother’s house in the countryside — so peaceful and heartwarming. One of the highlights of our stay was the authentic family dining room. Leonor shared a bit of its history with us, showing us portraits of her grandparents who once owned this quinta. It felt like such an honor to have breakfast in that room, gathered around one big table with other guests, like one big family — it was truly a unique and lovely experience. We left feeling completely recharged, having explored the beautiful surrounding areas as well. Leonor even sent us a thoughtfully prepared PDF with recommendations for sightseeing, lunch, dinner, and some local history, which made our stay even more enjoyable. We are incredibly grateful for this experience — it was everything we hoped for and more!
