The hotel was very close to the port, roughly 10-15 min walk away. There were many parking areas close-by for when we rented a car, maybe 5 min away. The breakfast was amazing, they had a huge selection available. I also saw gluten free and lactose free items but as I don't need these myself then I can't say how big the selection for both was. The day before we had to leave we went to ask the reception about breakfast the next day as breakfast started at 6:30 but we had to leave a 6:15 and they said they offer takeaway breakfast as long as they know it before-hand (they also ask about allergies and food restrictions). We had no allergies and so we got a yogurt with muesli, boiled eggs with kaviar paste, water, apples. The staff were super friendly and helpful, they even gave us a map with recommended areas marked in Visby and on the overall island as they had asked if we'll be travelling around by car as well. We had done research on this before too but this was super helpful in finding other places we had missed as well. We loved the design of the room, the bathroom was especially cool. We had a limited view to the seaside and port, but the old city in the middle still looks good and overall it was very nice. Good for checking the weather too :)

Everything was perfect! Kind staff, clean room with amazing view on the sea, nice pool and good breakfast! The resort is right in front of the beach and 15 minutes walking from the city center so we could enjoy exploring the surroundings with no need to rent a vehicle. 10 out of 10! We will definitely come back!

Breakfast was nice and the staffs were more helpful. Only problem is transport communication between Hotel and ferry terminal.

Everything, staff were fantastic as were the facilities, everything seems very new. Booking dot com had messsed up (again) but the staff sorted it all out seamlessly and gave us an upgrade.

This design hotel is a former fortress and lies by the Baltic Coast, just outside the town of Fårösund and 2 km from the ferry terminal to Fårö island.

Great base for exploration of northern Gotland. top notch architecture and service. Great plus with the pool area!

Gumbalde resort is located in the middle of Stånga community, 47 km south of Visby. This 17th-century horse farm offers a beautiful and tranquil setting for both hotel guests and golfers.

The room was lovely and decorated nicely. Beautiful view over the church and sunset at the restaurant.
