Nachan The Antique Courtyard is a unique Resort. Competent and very friendly Staff. The Owner is a real nice Person with a great Knowledge of doing Construction of Buildings, the Location of the Resort is chosen very carefully, so also the placing of each Building. The Buildings are double Stories. The upper Rooms are more quiet, then the lower ones. The Resort has a comlete Infrastructur, a very long Swimming Pool, having enough chairs to enjoin the wonderful view, direct to the Mekhong River. There is also a wonderful Plattform to overlook the River, where the Guests can enjoin the River view and can completely Relax. The Resort offers also a proper Breakfast with different Choices, with a wonderfull Riverview. I really must share, that the Coffeehouse of the Resort offers one of the best Coffees that I aver tasted in Thailand. Freshly self Roasted with the own Coffee Roasting Machine. The Resort is a must, for People who like toe stay on a great Location direct at the Mekhong River, near Chiang Khan, the beautiful old Town, where People have beautiful walking Ways and a Road with Tourist Attraction.

We stayed 7 nights, longer than average stay (winter/high season: January 2025) River Tree’s location is ideal. It’s very quiet, has a large parking, and you only need to walk a couple of hundred meters on the main road to access a side lane to the town (also easy tuktuk ride à 30-40THB/p) There is a large well-maintained garden and views on the misty Mekong. Our Superior King room was very large with sitting area & balcony over the pool. The walls are not totally sound proof, which may not be an issue as mostly the evening activity stops early (around 10pm) in this parts of the world, but if out of luck, one may get a noisier neighbour. The bed was good. There was hanging space (I was provided with extra hangers upon request), some shelves for clothing, and a desk. The resort is spotless. The pool is quite large, sufficient for doing laps and very clean. It’s mostly in the sun but obviously quite chilly in winter time. There are a handful of sunbeds, but we always had them all to ourselves (many people come and go through this destination). The buffet breakfast is quite large, mainly offering Asian (meaty) option. However, upon request, the kitchen can make vegetarian or vegan dishes and we were served every morning a generous and delicious vegetarian breakfast. Note that it is also the ONLY place in town where you can be served tofu-based dishes (I strongly suggest contacting the resort in advance to make sure they will have some). This also applies to the restaurant for lunch/dinner. Wifi was rather weak and we used a mix of Wifi and local SIM. The quality of the service was excellent. Front desk manager, Mr Yuan K., speaks English very well, and did everything to ensure our stay would be memorable (in a good way!). His team is prompt to assist, we appreciated their service attitude and kindness. It is definitely worth spending a few nights in this lovely area, as there is plenty to do. Value for money: very good.

Big clean room and bathroom. A proper gym and swimming pool. Good breakfast. Nice personel. 5min walk from restaurant street.

Great stay! Friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and clean, comfortable rooms. The highlight was the pool with a stunning Mekong River view.

Location was excellent, we booked a standard room that was dirty, smelly and needed regrading as sub-standard. we were offered an upgrade to a superior room that needed regrading to standard. there was an extra charge of 1000baht per day, but was reduced to 1000baht for the three nights we booked. first breakfast was good, second breakfast gave me a serious dose of the runs, Just had coffee and toast third day. The water in the swimming pool was green, nobody used it (obviously)

Lovely staff and quiet location

I actually liked a lot from the start. So much that I returned for second stay the next week. Clean. Very nice staff. Good room parking and a very friendly and nice atmosphere. There was good restaurangs in the close neighbourhood. We had a little dog too. No problem😊
