I would have happily stayed here much longer if my itinary had allowed it. The people running the place are so friendly and so helpful, especially Shawn who did so much to make my stay: organised transfer for me, connected me with a local tennis coach, he dropped off at the courts the first day (Jolly Harbour Sport Centre incase you’re interested) and even found a room for me on my return when they were all booked up. The people who work here really take pride in this place and go out of their way to may you feel welcome. I really hope I get to return one day.

All inclusive worked really well and seemed to make sense, both on the money side and just relaxing into your holiday.

Dickenson Bay was nice, check out Mistics (bar right on the beach). Antigua has amazing beaches and all are worth exploring. Rent a car and drive south to Fig Tree Drive. Park along the road and wander on to great beaches. Skip English Harbor if you want to avoid tourists. Don't neglect the Atlantic side of the island. Half Moon Bay is worth the drive, then climb to the top of the cliffs and watch the ocean waves crash ashore.
Freetown is a small and rural community at the south east end of Antigua; it has no tourist [or other] facilities. It is the postal code for Harmony Hall and the Nonsuch Beach resort.
Half Moon Bay is a stunningly beautiful beach, 25 min by car from Seatons. Long Bay just 5 min by car is also a very nice beach, having amenities as well. There are not a big selection of places to eat in Seatons. Mama Ruth at the grocery shop cooked very good meals at low prices to bring or eat at the vary basic site. Getting around Antigua is of course easiest having a rent car but there is also a simple and well working mini-bus system to get around.
Since I was there to participate in the Antigua Classic Yacht Regatta I found English Harbour Town to a splendid place. Within walking distance to Nelson's Dockyard and many fine restaurants along the waterfront, I could not ask for a more enjoyable and friendly place to be.
Antigua is a great place and St John is central and easy to get to Heritage Quays where Bars and Restaurants are and an easy drive too good beaches.
If peace and tranquillity is what you seek, this is the place to be Claudia was an exceptional hostess A short walk to white sandy beaches Buses are reasonable...The people are so friendly I will definitely be using Five Sense on my next visit to Antigua The only drawback was the shower was cold
Bolans Antigua was gorgeous. The water is crystal clear and beautiful. The people of the island is laid back and very hospitable. Our favorite activities was the horse back riding and Shirley's Heights. It had a wonderful view of the island the food and music was good for my soul. Can't wait to visit again.
There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in the area which suit most tastes and every budget (although food is generally very expensive in Antigua so beware!) I loved a small local French-run cafe called Rum Ba Ba, open Mon-Fri lunchtimes only...they have the best selection of unique sides and salads in large stainless steel bowls on the counter so that you can pick whatever takes your eye plus at least 3 main dish specials which change daily. All the food is freshly made each morning so once the bowl is empty you're out of luck...get there early (12 - 12.30) to enjoy the delicious healthy choices. It's a great change from the usual jerked chicken and fries! Taxis are plentiful but again quite expensive. Hire cars cost approx $50 US per day if you want to tour the island however there are limited signposts and you can learn a lot more about the history of the island from a local taxi driver....they are both friendly and informative. Locals buses are cheap and will take you to St Johns for a fraction of the price of a taxi. A great place to visit is Nelson's Dockyard which is steeped in nautical history and has some lovely views of the local coastline. Great beaches in English Town include Pigeon Beach and Galleon Beach - both worth a visit.
Best beach by far in Antigua..The spectacular sunsets.Gorgeous...Blue water white sands Miracles and Castaways perfect for meals.. West Point Marina(Wally) is great for after hour sets on the Marina and Underdogs(Mark is the owner).Best Bars in the area
I am from Antigua migrated 35 yrs ago to the USA.I return 4-6 times per year even for a weekend getaway. The beaches are breath taking, the seafood is great, the people are a blended culture of many people.Great city. The cost of a taxi from St.John's to the hotel was reasonable $15.My friends and I went to Sidney for dinner which was enjoyable.
Bolans
this was the best hotel/resort I have ever experienced. it was absolutely beautiful and luxurious. the rooms are very fancy with the most beautiful decor. I loved everything about my stay including the workers. i can’t remember all their names but skinny, marsha, little bit, whitney, tanya, adriano, and tyra were very sweet and friendly. they made my stay as a solo traveler very enjoyable. when i come back to antigua i would stay at tamarind again.
Saint Johnʼs
The location was excellent for my American university of Antigua and the hotel is located in upscale neighborhood and very safe the hotel has an excellent view to sea / ocean and also has a private beach. This setting is almost similar to any other upscale beach The manager Tiziana was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to make the stay very comfortable and provided lots of information about the island to get us moving
Saint Johnʼs
A huge clean apartment on the ground floor The breakfast and dinners were delicious and more than satisfying. You eat in a private area, a balcony overlooking everything. Our conversations with Donna were great too. Without a doubt the best place I have ever stayed in Antigua! It was for only one night, bit I know for sure that we will return
English Harbour Town
The property is situated in a great location within English Harbour with fantastic views of the harbour. The grounds of the hotel are well-kept and the hotel is within walking distance (about 10 mins away) from Pigeon Point beach, which is one of the nicest of Antigua's many, many beaches! I was particularly happy about the nearby gym.
Cobbs Cross
The property was as described, and looked even better on arrival. Danilo and Orietta were wonderful hosts throughout our stay, the presentation of apartments was very thoughtfully put together. We had a fantastic time in Antigua which was truly enhanced by our stay at " Donkey On The Beach" and by our ever attentive hosts.
Saint Johnʼs
The appartment / room we had was really spacious, clean and with great ocean view. When we booked we read that the food was not great but it exceeded our expectations. Also the hotel has a small island in front of the hotel where you can go by canoe or boat (all for free). It is one of the nicest beaches we have seen on Antigua.
Orries's is small and intimate hotel ideally located with literally a stones throw for m without doubt the best beaches in Antigua . Our room was spacious and clean with very good air conditioning , water dispenser and comfortable bed . We had a balcony which afforded the most amazing sunsets
Saint Johnʼs
A beautiful home with an amazing garden with tropical fruits. our hosts have been very kind, welcoming and helpful with advice for visiting Antigua. The space in the apartment is well thought and it’s all well equipped. Wi-Fi was fast. the location is central and ideal to explore the island by car.
The food was delicious. Be prepared to be stuffed after dinner. Be sure to visit the Residences’ infinity pool and Green Island. Although the Escape is a bit secluded ( that’s the point) the hotels amenities and the tour options are the perfect mix of for escaping while still exploring Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
Well located for St. John’s, local restaurants and attractions. Had everything we needed, was relatively comfortable. Nice beach location but Dickerson bay was by far the busiest and most touristy area we visited in Antigua.
Saint Johnʼs
Antigua Village is a wonderful location on Dickinson Bay. There are sun loungers available around the site and on the beach for some use of their customers. very well kept gardens and views of the Carribean Sea.
Buckleys
A perfect place to relax. Loved the apartment- everything one needed as a base to explore beautiful Antigua. Comfortable space with well equipped kitchen. Supermarket nearby. Sibel was perfect host
Dickenson Bay
Fantastic apartment in a wonderful location right on the beach. All staff were friendly and very helpful, we will definitely stay here the next time we visit Antigua
I enjoyed staying at Heritage Hotel. It's my favorite place to stay in Antigua.
The staff are super. But all Antiguans seem to be like that.
Hotel Grounds we’re amazing. Food was very good
It was so lovely how you had your own private hut with no one over looking your balcony. It meant you truly got the sense you were secluded and peaceful. The upkeep of the property was perfect, there were always gardeners around, they were repainting the main entrance while we were there and the view was to die for. We got engaged while we were at cocobay and they helped my partner organise a private diner overlooking the ocean with a 3 course meal and silver service. While we were eating, they also decorated our room with candles and flower petals and a bottle of champagne. They truly went the extra mile for us and it made for an exceptional experience. I’m so glad we stayed here as when we moved onto Barbados we stayed at the most well know resort in the Caribbean and it was dreadful, proving that quality is better than quantity. Hats off and a massive Thank you to everyone at. Cocobay!!!
Everything mentioned above was excellent.
The staff was friendly and quite helpful
The food was great. I love the entertainment it was undeed awesome.
