Incredible location and views, a truly ski-in ski-out access. Cleared ski runs are a bit short, yet ski touring through the old-growth forest above the cabin is incredible. A small but well-equipped spa with an outdoor heated pool, jacuzzi and sauna.

Staying here was like staying with family. Lili was so kind and helpful and fun to talk to. Breakfast was so nice. Everything was prepared fresh based on what you ordered. Breakfast and all rooms face the beautiful mountains. Simply amazing!

The staff are excellent...friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good... scrambled eggs, croissants, cheese, fruit, cereal, coffee...lots to eat! The location is easy walking distance to the action and restaurants of central town The bed was firm and very comfortable....very important for my wife lol. The lady who runs the hotel is lovely..smiling and helpful, and a talented painter! She has a small studio paint desk in the lovely glassed back room, and some painting displayed there. The rooms are not modern or fancy,, but rustic and charming, and the vibe is relaxed and mellow...so comfortable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Cabañas del Lacar is very well located, in a calm and beatiful neighbourghood, with a easy access to the mountain and the city center. We have found everything we were looking for and the staff was very attentive. Everyday we received the forecast of Chapelco and at night especial tips for dinner. We have a lot of fun!

Beautiful small city center, could walk around again and...

Beautiful small city center, could walk around again and again. Went by the small artisanal market and to walked to Plaza Sarmiento, to play with the kids. We had dinner spontaneously in a place called "Luisa del abasto" which was really very good and not at all expensive!

We loved this town. It was quaint, friendly, and beautiful.

We loved this town. It was quaint, friendly, and beautiful. There were great restaurants, everything in town was walkable, and there were lots of outdoorsy things to do with kids (rent bikes, rent a kayak, go for a hike, go for a boat ride). I recommend a cafe called Montes, some of the best coffee I have had and the owner is really nice. We definitely will go back to this town.

Absolutely beautiful place.

Absolutely beautiful place. Wonderful restaurants and full of boutique hotels. The natural landscapes and lakes in this area of the country are breath-taking. I could easily live here =) But settled for a wonderful vacation, full of nature, good food and incredibly kind people. Would definitely recommend 2-3 days here when in Patagonia.
