Where to start...? La Alondra is an oasis of peace right off the main road between Corrientes and Resistencia, shortly before the bridge that crosses the Paraná river. This arterial connection between two provinces is extremely busy and noisy. Then, you enter La Alondra and all of the noise and bustle is gone. The guesthouse is refinedly furnished and teleports you back to a time when carriages and horses were the norm and time passed only half as fast as today. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and spacious, clean and fully equipped, the beds excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. Indoor guarded parking avaliable. Central to the guesthouse is a very nice patio garden with open air pool. A very special mention for the excellent Bistro where you can enjoy a delicious meal with some fine Argentinian wines at a very reasonable price. The kitchen has a nice vegetable-oriented twist and vegetarians should find something to their liking. A evening stroll to the riverside to see the sun set behind the bridge is highly recommended. In short: we would have loved to stay (much) longer!

The property has been beautifully restored to a high standard with lots of cute details and very comfortable rooms. The view out to the river is stunning, and the pool is a lovely place to relax. The hosts are extremely hospitable, and it was great to be able to go horse riding at their lovely countryside property (just 10 minutes away!). The breakfast provided is excellent and Paula also cooked some great meals. Highly recommended - this was my second stay here, and I hope it won't be my last!

You literally have to drive along a dirt road to get to this majestic hotel. But the trek is worth it--it's a very fancy and comfortable place to stay. Very nice pool, too, although the beach on the Parana was not open for use. Dinner is served in the casino area, which is somewhat bizarre. Excellent breakfast, though.

Lovely relaxed place. right on the edge of the wetlands. Free use of bikes, which was brilliant as National Park and other places were accessible by bike. Boat trips were amazing, so much to see and spent ages around where the capybaras and caimans were.

Swimming pool is great. Communal areas where you can eat and cook as well as your own cabin with everything you'd need. People that work there are very nice. Even got us an upgraded room because no one booked it. Really recommend it.

The Ibera wetlands are a nature lover's delight .

The Ibera wetlands are a nature lover's delight . Phenomenal variety of birds , lots of caiman and capybaras , some fox . Clear night sky . The gravel road can be rough on your tyres & suspension , so make sure they are in good shape. Fill up gasoline at Posadas before reaching here , tho there is an informal stockist who will charge you more in case needed . Mobile signal non-existent , so ensure you download offline maps in advance . Wifi was great .
