- From $120 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.7Excellent - What previous guests thought, 85 reviewsA must stop place if you want to hike around the Aconcagua. Juan Pablo and Magalí are superb hosts, and will do their best to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They know the region inside out and have great tips on tours, treks and hikes for both beginners and experienced mountaineers. The accommodation is rustic but very cozy, and blends into the mountain atmosphere really well. The showers have nice pressure and very hot water, and the music playing in the eating area is always excellent. The evening meals are hearty and filling after a long day of hiking. Shoutout to Lolita, the friendly house cat!Guest review byJob HenriqueBrazil
- From $126.17 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.5Very Good - What previous guests thought, 26 reviewsThis is gem of a spa hotel, set a few miles from Potrerillos. The setting is very tranquil, with the river running by the end of the gardens. The rooms are very spacious and there are plenty of sunbeds by the outdoor pool or over by the river to relax and enjoy the settings. The attached (but separately run) restaurant was great for breakfast and dinner. It was the perfect place to rest our weary legs, after a day doing the Confluencia hike, to the base camp of Aconcagua.Guest review byJJ10United Kingdom

The excursions and the wine are the best part of Mendoza, though I would not say it is a cheap city to visit, at least not at the moment. The city itself is quaint, the trees and parks are lovely, and though we felt mostly safe, at night there a quite a few homeless around town, that make it feel a bit doubty. You can see the city itself in a day, as there are not really big attractions and must sees. I would spend my time exploring vineyards and a high mountain tour.Guest review byPamellaPanama - 10.0

You would need a reason to stay in Lujan, rather than in Mendoza city itself. Visiting family in our case, or the vinyards of course. Quiet compared to Mendoza but lacking big city amenities. Easy and cheap to Uber into the city. About 15 minutes. Public transport avaialble (but we did not use). Probably safer.Guest review byNJB110New Zealand - 10.0

A great area to go and explore, with stunning views up to the mountains and back over the plains towards Mendoza. We had a fantastic day horse riding with La Quebrada del Condor (ideally you hire a 4 wheel drive or you get them to pick you up) and a day hiking the Confluencia route to the base camp of Aconcagua. There were some lovely isolated lodges on the east side of Embalse Potrerillos, which we would loved to have stayed in, but they were fully booked.Guest review byJJ10United Kingdom - 10.0

On first arrival in Chacras de Coria it is easy to think you have made a mistake as it looks so quiet. Unless you are an an absolute party animal you will be mistaken and your stay will likely be one of the highlights of your time in Argentina. Good restaurants and a chilled out feel are two of the many highlights of the town.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 8.0
Old infrastructure and slow lift system but great people.
Old infrastructure and slow lift system but great people. You can walk everywhere. Shops are limited and don’t expect to self cater unless you can shop before you arrive. The instruction I witnessed was very good. Local Dr was amazing and very helpful like most of the people we met. This is the big attraction. Travel solo on the lifts you meet more people and get through the lines faster! I really enjoyed this experience. It is expensive though.Guest review byChay BUnited States - 10.0

If you are a Foodie and enjoy wine this city is great for a 4 day weekend. 3rd week in May had great weather, 20C sun during day and 12C at night. Highlights of my stay were: -Bodega Los Toneles [ this place is a GEM ]: wine tasting and an amazing lunch at their restaurant Abrasado. Must reserve for tour, tasting and lunch!! 15 mins UBER from city. -Cerro la Gloria. 10 mins UBER from city. -Parque San Martin for a pic-nic. -Walking through Plaza Independencia, Plaza Espana, Plaza Chile y Plaza Italia. -Bike rental for the day. -Having dinner at Soberana!!!! Need reservation. Fab Barman. -Amazing for breakfast or lunch is Anna Bistro's. -Also, breakfast at Cora, has patio and inside or Rama Negra Cafe. -I very much enjoyed having a 3 hour Sunday lunch at La Gloria in Chacras de Coria [ very easy to get there in Uber from Mendoza center ] Well worth the experience. Need reservation. Get there at 1pm! If weather is good ask for patio table, WOW. La Gloria was an incredible experience and the place is beautiful. Best wine selection I had all 4 days was at La Gloria. Cheers.Guest review byMEGAFUNNERChile - 10.0

The central Plaza is a very nice place to sit down and have a drink or eat something. In Chacras there are so many options to good gastronomy that there is always a perfect option for what one is looking for. Brunch at Shelby was fantastic.Guest review byclaudioArgentina - 8.0
City of food and wine
City of food and wine L’Orange artisanal winery was an excellent find. Booked The Animal House for a tour and lunch. Exceptional. Better than the big commercial vineyard we toured via a tour operator the previous day.Guest review byCatherineUnited Kingdom
