We highly recommend Quill Gardens Hotel as the cleanest, calmest and most welcoming on the island. The view from the balcony is mesmerizing. The hotel provides a very tasty and rich breakfast, more than it is possible to eat in the morning. We also had the pleasure of attending dinner. The pasta, tuna steak and homemade bread were simply the most delicious. On our next visit, we will definitely stop there only.

The suite was lovely.Clean spacious with a large comfortable bed,lovely bathroom,tv,aircon,large fan over the bed too.A few untensils and plates,fridge,microwave and coffee maker.Ideal as there is a supermarket just around the corner so you can buy your things and just stay in the room if you wish Everything is within walking distance,with a wonderful little eating place round the corner too.We would stay here again.

The gardens were beautiful and we spent most afternoons sitting in the outdoor lounge. Rooms were a good size and comfortable. Included breakfast offered a good variety.

We had an amazing stay at Statia Lodge! The lodges are beautiful and the area surrounding it is very peaceful. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast very nice! Also, the swimming pool was great :)

Wow, absolutely stunning grounds and pool area. Our cottage was roomy and comfortable. We liked the projector screen that doubled up as a window blind, wouldn’t normally watch a movie on holiday but this was novel. We enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the monkeys in the garden. The food was delicious and very well presented. Excellent service all round.

I recently stayed at The White House and had the most amazing experience. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the private beach with its striking black sand, which created a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. Finding a good and affordable place on Statia can be a challenge, but I was very happy to have 'discovered' this gem. The location is just perfect. The appartement is spacious with everything you can expect. The best restaurant on the island is right next to it, actually it part of the same building. It is true that during restaurant hours you will have guests dining next to the place. It was not a disturbance for me at all, and the good part, every morning you have the place for yourself. Your private terrace next to the ocean. The neighbors at Gin House serve a breakfast if you don't want to make it yourself. I loved the Nespresso coffee with cups being replenished every day, same goes for new bottles of waters every day. Great service that makes a difference. The place was clean and comfortable.

The restaurants are excellent, the history in the area is...

The restaurants are excellent, the history in the area is interesting. We spent 3.5 days here and it seemed like enough, we actully were upset to leave. There is great hiking and a nice beach in the city. It is a great slow paced island. We got beaches, national parks, and historical monuments to ourselves!
