Staff super helpful and responsive! Loved taking out the complimentary bikes, paddleboard and canoe for spins around town and water exploring. Breakfast on rooftop was an amazing way to start the day, and sunset views at night on dock were the best way to start an evening of fun or relaxation. Would book this property again!

The hotel is clean, right on the beachfront, with a beautiful view, and everyone who works there is extremely helpful and polite. I did the diving course right in front of the hotel, and it was incredible. I was very well taken care of. The restaurant is excellent as well, with wonderful service.

We stayed here for two nights and had a very comfortable experience. The room was spacious with a very large bed, and disposable slippers were provided, which was a nice touch. Overall cleanliness was very good, and after the first night, the staff even helped tidy up the room and sprayed some air freshener since it felt a bit stuffy — we really appreciated that attention to detail. A special thank you to Melody at the front desk, who was incredibly kind and helpful. She assisted us with booking a fishing trip, which turned out to be a great experience, and when we checked out, she even drove us to the dock in her own golf cart. Overall, a very pleasant stay with thoughtful service and friendly staff. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed how easy it was to walk around and have easy accessibility to all amenities The sting rays and feeding the tarpon and going to the split beach was awesome. Very quiet to sleep at night as the bars closed at a reasonable time which we enjoyed. The pasta restaurant was amazing.

Many side streets lack proper road surfacing and drainage, so after rain they become muddy or impassable. The town is only reachable by boat or small plane, which makes travel and transport of goods more expensive and time-consuming than in Mainland cities. Most people use bicycles or golf carts, it s super expensive to rent and if you dont, you are not safe to walk around as there is no sidewalks..

Belize City was somewhat different.

Belize City was somewhat different. When visiting you may need to rent a vehicle to get around as it is a bit spreadout. You will need to drive or arrange for tours to get to the significant sites. I will say that it is safe to travel around the city and the people are very friendly.

The number one thing visitors should realize is that Crooked...

The number one thing visitors should realize is that Crooked Tree is for practical purposes an island in a lake in the middle of nowhere. The "downtown" area of the Village consists of a small handful of buildings, one of which is a convenience/grocery store. No ATM that I could see (or Google would reveal). A very few small restaurants are scattered around the area. For birders, it's absolutely one of the best locations in the world & well worth traveling to (45 exotic species by water one morning, 38 by land the next). But there aren't any beaches, shops, or other sorts of traditional tourist attractions there. I stayed at a lovely house with a full kitchen, so I made chicken with rice & beans for dinner, which I bought at the village store. Bird's Eye View Lodge looks like a very nice eco-lodge to stay in; it's right on the Lagoon, has a pool, rents canoes & kayaks, & offers birding trips by land & boat. I did my birding trips with them, though I stayed at the private home.

It is a rural village which has created a wonderful sanctuary for the howler monkeys. The whole town participates either by donating stretches of their land to make pathways for the monkeys or helping run the visitor center.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at Belize Resort and Spa! My husband and I came Labor Day weekend for a baby moon trip. To begin, Melanie was a sweetheart! She answered all of my questions quickly and helped us arrange everything we wanted to do, including airport transportation, local shopping, and the spa. The food was DELICIOUS and the plates had large portions. We even got to bring our dessert back to our room to relax and enjoy. The only other thing we wished we could have done was a tour or two, however being late into my pregnancy, this trip was more for relaxation. We enjoyed the couples mud massage which was relaxing and unique. We have so many pictures from our spa day. The pool was relaxing and made for a great backdrop for pictures as well. The room was clean and gave us an authentic feel during our stay in Belize. We will definitely visit again, making room to enjoy the tours next go around. Travel Tip: Don’t forget your bug spray! It is a jungle resort and the mosquitoes are merciless without it.

As experienced snorkelers, this was our main focus and all...

As experienced snorkelers, this was our main focus and all the literature hyped the fact that it was the 2nd longest reef in the world. However we found the snorkelling disappointing at best. And once we had seen and done all the available sites, there was very little else to do in Caye Caulker except bar hop! None of the traveller information mentioned that there was no sand/beach, no grass and no ocean shore access. Three days would have been a good amount of time there, not 8 as we had mistakenly planned. We had good meals in the restaurants and enjoyed morning yoga in a couple of different venues. Buying fish off the dock and preparing it in our lovely accommodation was a highlight. The local people were extremely friendly and helpful. We felt very safe at all times.

The town of San Pedro is fun.

The town of San Pedro is fun. Almost everybody drives golf carts which gives it a certain, authentic feel. The golf carts can be noisy, so if staying in town, be aware of that. We were south of town and it was quite nice.

I had a great tour guide. It rained here and there, but it did not impact any of my activities like zip lining, cave tubing. There were wonderful fireworks for New Year’s. Everyone was friendly and helpful, hotel staff the guys at the ferry, & staff at restaurants and beaches. The food was incredible everywhere I ate the food was just outstanding.
