We had an amazing experience at this apartment. It was spacious, beautifully designed, and impeccably clean. Everything exceeded our expectations. One of the highlights was the stunning rooftop pool, offering breathtaking views of both the sunrise and sunset – truly magical! The price was incredibly reasonable considering the quality and amenities provided. The owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, everything was perfect – we have no complaints whatsoever. We would definitely return and highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a fantastic place to stay.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Howler Jungle House and Cabanas it did not disappoint. The home itself is incredibly unique, with so many thoughtful features that made the experience special, from the hammocks to the stunning views of the river and surrounding jungle. One of the highlights was the monkeys; they were amazing to watch, and even the howling at 3 am turned into a memorable (and surprisingly cool!) part of the experience. The property had so much to offer, including the lovely little pool and access to canoes and bikes, which made it easy to explore and enjoy the area. What really stood out, though, was the staff. They were incredibly kind, supportive, and made everything feel easy and welcoming. Overall, a truly special place to stay we’d absolutely come back.

Amazing, peaceful setting on edge of San Pedro. Beautiful pool area and jacuzzi overlooking Caribbean. Spacious, well-equipped apartment with all essential amenities including complimentary coffee and tea. The Resort can organise a host of excursions including to the mainland. Snorkelling trips often start from the Resort jetty and it is possible to hire all necessary kit. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Overall, a perfect stay.

Although it is an island, it is not a place where you can easily swim. There are no beaches on the island. Additionally, the food scene is very limited, every restaurant has more or less the same menu. Prices are high in the island. It can take a long journey to get there if you are coming from Mexico, overall I did not feel it was worth it.

Belize City exceeded my expectations.

Belize City exceeded my expectations. From the moment we stepped off the plane, we were greeted by the most enthusiastic, welcoming, attentive travel staff. This travel experience was much more than a mere vacation, it was a lifestyle reset. Belize City has so much rich history and culture. My favorite spots were anywhere on Caye Caulker island (The Split, Lazy Lizard, Sip and Dip and Bliss Beach). The Tiki Sunset Boat Ride was phenomenal. There was so much activities to enjoy on Caye Caulker ranging from tarpon feeding, scuba diving, and swimming with the stingrays We enjoyed dinner afterwards at Swings. The deep fried FRESH snapper was delicious. Our lodge at The Anchorage and Hummingbirds Cabin was the icing on the cake. And the LOCALS made this the most amazing experience. Please Belize I will return soon.

The number one thing visitors should realize is that Crooked Tree is for practical purposes an island in a lake in the middle of nowhere. The "downtown" area of the Village consists of a small handful of buildings, one of which is a convenience/grocery store. No ATM that I could see (or Google would reveal). A very few small restaurants are scattered around the area. For birders, it's absolutely one of the best locations in the world & well worth traveling to (45 exotic species by water one morning, 38 by land the next). But there aren't any beaches, shops, or other sorts of traditional tourist attractions there. I stayed at a lovely house with a full kitchen, so I made chicken with rice & beans for dinner, which I bought at the village store. Bird's Eye View Lodge looks like a very nice eco-lodge to stay in; it's right on the Lagoon, has a pool, rents canoes & kayaks, & offers birding trips by land & boat. I did my birding trips with them, though I stayed at the private home.

We had an absolutely wonderful time during our stay at Belize Resort and Spa! My husband and I came Labor Day weekend for a baby moon trip. To begin, Melanie was a sweetheart! She answered all of my questions quickly and helped us arrange everything we wanted to do, including airport transportation, local shopping, and the spa. The food was DELICIOUS and the plates had large portions. We even got to bring our dessert back to our room to relax and enjoy. The only other thing we wished we could have done was a tour or two, however being late into my pregnancy, this trip was more for relaxation. We enjoyed the couples mud massage which was relaxing and unique. We have so many pictures from our spa day. The pool was relaxing and made for a great backdrop for pictures as well. The room was clean and gave us an authentic feel during our stay in Belize. We will definitely visit again, making room to enjoy the tours next go around. Travel Tip: Don’t forget your bug spray! It is a jungle resort and the mosquitoes are merciless without it.

The main reason for coming to San Pedro was to go snorkelling. We did this and it was mostly excelllent but beware there is a very strong current out near the reef and there are so many groups snorkelling it is easy to lose the group you are with. For an easier and less busy snorkelling experience I would go to Mexico Rocks first, it's only a few miles North of the main area and you still get to see Rays, Nurse sharks, turtles and loads of fish. The big problem with Ambergris Caye and lots of the Caribbean in general is the Sargassum which makes the beaches unuseable at certain times of the year. Even if it has been cleared off certain sections of beach by your resort you can still smell the decomposing Sargassum nearby which has a foul rotten egg stench. From what we've seen and read this problem is getting worse each year.

Highlights were taxi tours, walking tours, friendliness of locals, merchants and tourists, fabulous views, tarpon feeding, excursions including sunset cruise and snorkeling outing. It is unfortunate that the roads are so uneven, as this is less than comfortable for extended walking and hard on the vehicles.

There are not too many sites within Belize city itself, but you can entertain for a day or two. More importantly, Belize city is more convenient as a jumping off location too many other tours, whether it’s cave tubing, seeing mayan ruins, etc.… if you stay on one of the islands, you need to take the ferry back to the mainland to access many of these tours.
