AustriaWe had an awesome stay at the lodge! Everyone is super friendly and so helpful! They can organize and book many tours for you or just recommend things to do. The room we had was very clean and the food at the restaurant is great! The pool was refreshing! The lodge is directly next to the Mayan ruins Cahal Pech, which is definitely worth visiting! Highly recommended!!! You can see and feel that the lodge is maintained and led with love!

The restaurant food for breakfast, lunch and dinner was very good - tasty, well presented and quite good value. There is also the option of the hotel next door for an evening meal. The hotel is only a very short walk to the impressive Cahel Pech Archeoligical site where you can easily spend 2 hours exploring. Being on top of the hill it required a VERY steep hike back up after checking out the town centre. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend.

Really friendly and helpful staff and they allowed us to keep the room until 2pm for our taxi for which we were very grateful.

Everything. It was flawless. Understated elegance and the highest quality abound. The villa was vast, the private plunge pool was great, the food in both restaurants and the pizza place was really good.
It was a privilege to eat wonderful food whilst immersed in nature.
The trails, rope bridges, etc were superb.
The people were, without exception, courteous, friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable.

We loved everything about this place! It is an oasis and a little slice of heaven after 3 days in dusty San Ignacio. The staff bent over backwards to make our stay wonderful, the swimming pool is incredible, dinner was absolutely delicious, and we ate it on the veranda overlooking the Belize River. What's not to like? It was amazing. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

Even better than the photos - it felt like a dream! Everything was immaculate and beautifully designed - the staff were incredible and the food was delightful, everything fresh from the garden! We couldn’t recommend more highly. All the little touches and friendly, knowledgeable staff made our stay one of the most memorable and enjoyable vacations we have ever had.

The food was made to order and very good. Staff very friendly and attentive. The coffee, Garlic Tea and Ginger tea very good. Chena, the owner, sorry if I misspelled her name is so personable, she baked a chocolate cake for my birthday and made it Vegan so one of my daughters could eat it. It was yummy!

Our Tree House Bungalow was a little slice of heaven. So beautiful, quiet, and private. We loved waking up to the tropical birds singing. The food and service at the restaurant was exceptional and our hosts were very friendly.

The people there were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. I loved experiencing some of the local traditions and celebrations that were happening while I was there. Even though my Kriol is not fluent, I managed to get by and learn a few new phrases, which was fun And the food? Oh my goodness, it was absolutely delicious with so many unique flavors. The scenery was breathtaking too, with lush greenery and amazing natural wonders to explore.

Stayed for 6 nights total: 2 in San Ignacio, 1 at Rainforest...
Stayed for 6 nights total: 2 in San Ignacio, 1 at Rainforest Inn on Butterfly Highway, and 3 at the beach in Hopkins. The Rainforest was awesome and we did some cave exploring on tours. My husband and I enjoyed the cave tube float and our friends loved the ATM cave. Of course there are a number of Mayan ruins to explore without having to cross into Guatemala. Belize is a small country but from the Cays to Belmopan city and beach areas the culture is varied. The Garifuna culture around Hopkins is quite interesting and different from San Ignacio, which is more Mayan.

Stunning property - so lush and beautiful. Very clean and cared for. The rooms were so unique - unlike any we had ever stayed in. The staff was very friendly. We very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return when we can stay longer.

Its a great base for many of the outdoors tours, which...
Its a great base for many of the outdoors tours, which should be taken advantage of, but if you don't have a tour booked for an activity, there's nothing to do in the town itself besides the iguana sanctuary or chocolate tour. Recommend 3-4 days. We stayed 5 and it was a day too much.
ATM cave is a must, as well as xunantunich and a day trip to Tikal if time.

The lodge is in the perfect place to do a variety of jungle adventure tours and activities, especially all the caves and sinkholes in the area, and to explore the Mayan ruins, and to get a real feel for the culture of Belize.

San Ignacio is the ideal starting point for tours to Mayan ruins Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Caracol, and also Tikal , across the border in Guatemala.
Hiking, cave exploration, river and cave tubing, horse riding are among the most popular here. Plenty of tour companies offer 1/2 day and full day trips. All guides with good English and Spanish!

I specifically went to see the Thirsty Jagwar (yummy fruit wines) booth at the Day & Night Market at Mae Gordon Park in Belmopan. It was a rainy day and the grounds were a bit wet and muddy, but there was a good variety of friendly vendors, so it was fun to shop around. They also had a good DJ and live music so it was entertaining as well. There was also a good variety of food vendors to choose from.
The highlight of my visit was my stay at the Kiki Witz Resort. It was only 5 minutes drive outside Belmopan. Easy to find right off the highway just past the ArtBox store, but GPS was off. I had the cutest little Glamping Cabin in the woods! I will definetly come back, stay there and do little excursions out from there.
