I absolutely loved my overnight stay at Berggasthaus Eggberge. From the moment you step into the cable car up the moment, you’re literally being transported to a more serene, more peaceful and beautiful version of the world. The views are simply stunning, the staff and owners incredibly friendly. I also highly recommend Andy’s Brew, the owners very own beer. It’s delicious:) Wish I’d stayed a few more days to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Fantastic location, right off the upper station of the cable car. Lots of easy and difficult hikes around that location. Great breakfast, also had a nice dinner here. People working here were super nice. Do NOT follow Google directions to the hotel, instead drive to Biel-Kinzig AG, which will get you to the lower station of the cable car. If there is no-one at the station, just push the button and they'll help you - unusual for Americans to have self service gondolas, but works well.

This is a new, modern hotel with all of the amenities you could ask for. Every room has a lovely view, since the hotel is on the 7th floor. The breakfast that comes with the room, is exceptional. The restaurant is on the top floor with amazing views from every direction. All of the staff, are able to speak English, so you do not need to worry about any language barrier. You can start off your day, with a lovely breakfast including: fresh croissants, made to order eggs, cheeses, meats, juice, yogurt, muesli and phenomenal coffee. Need I say more. This hotel also has an amazing restaurant for lunch and dinner. I would recommend, making reservations for any meals, prior to arrival. The Chef has an excellent reputation and his dishes, are just amazing. He outsources his ingredients from the surrounding area and it is truly a lovely experience.

Central location ! Very nice people in the restaurant for dinner and the Breakfast Included! My spouse has diet restrictions, and staff helped with menu changes. Quiet and comfortable!
