The hotel is in a fabulous location, with stunning views and excellent facilities. There are plenty of walking routes and opportunities for cycling or windsurfing or sightseeing. For two nights in the hotel you get a free bus and train pass which also works for the cable cars. The hotel has a wellness centre with a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room, as well as a gym in the newest part of the building. The restaurant is great and breakfast is delicious and offering a great range of local products.

I really loved the atmosphere of the hotel — calm, elegant, and surrounded by beautiful nature. The location is stunning, the rooms are very comfortable, and the staff was warm and attentive. It felt like a true place to relax and recharge.

We had encountered the name Sils Maria in Upper Engadin in Friedrich Nietzsche’s books. He stayed in Sils Maria in the summers from 1881 to 1888 in a house that is now a museum commemorating his work. Two of his most important books, The Gay Science and Thus Spoke Zarathustra, were written here. It is said that Sils Maria was magical for him. It was where he fell in love with eternity. The place did surpass all imagination. We experienced the most beautiful landscapes that we have ever seen while hiking in the Fex Valley, around the lakes Silversee and Silvaplana, and from Piz Corvatsch to Sils Maria. Hotel Chesa Pool in the Fex Valley provided the perfect, coziest, and most relaxing atmosphere for our stay. We could sit for hours and watch the peaks on the horizon, the wildflowers, and the sound of the small river carrying glacial water from the mountains. The dinner menu was highly sophisticated and delicious, and the breakfast was especially superb. We got served by the kindest, most welcoming, and helpful staff. We simply cannot wait to come back and be reborn again.

We didn't take the demi-pension, which incudes dinner, but we ate at the restaurant one night, and the meal was superb and quite reasonably priced. The breakfast was excellent as well. In both cases, the service was extremely friendly and efficient. The room was spacious and comfortable and nicely furnished.

Charming hotel in idyllic location. Attention to detail is amazing. Lovely staff, very clean, fabulous garden patio for eating out in the summer. Good transport links with bus stop outside and short walk to amenities in Sils Maria or to the lake to swim. Transport card for area included.

One of the best, if not the best place in Switzerland. Superb location, very friendly staff and meals made with a lot of love. Very hard to improve upon.
