Mongui is a beautiful town and the paramo and surrounding pueblos are so unique and beautiful. We had a great time at sun Luis. We were made to feel welcome, the staff helped us with anything we required without any problems. They organised a great guide for the paramo (Juan) and were happy to prepare us some food for the hike. I have travelled through hundreds of towns in Colombia over the years , Mongui is my fav and san luis hotel is without doubt the best hotel I have stayed in. You can have a great looking hotel, but without great staff it’s nothing. 10/10 for this hotel.

We only got there due to Booking.com discounts and upgrades, otherwise it was above our budget. The place is run by an amazing family, happy to help and always ready to propose you something. Out of the city centre it is a quite location, and the open house plan makes it a pleasant to spend time. There's no kitchen but you can ask for plates and utensils

What a wonderful hotel! Absolutely beautiful, the rooms are very clean, large and comfortable. The bed is huge with comfortable pillows. We had a couple of drinks in the 'bar' with the hosts, it was magical.

The rooms and the public spaces are incredibly beautiful. The service is incredibly good and the food exceptional. They have on site gardens with much of the veggies picked fresh daily. They have horses available to ride in their beautiful 70 acre hacienda or you can walk down to the creek with lots of beautiful birds to see.

Beatiful town, lots of things to do there and around town, lots of history, a lot of options to eat, but, very expensive for local (colombian) guest. Even more expensive than Bogotá and Medellon itself

I know Tunja well as I am an art historian and very interested in its historical sites. It has many "hidden treasures" in churches and small museums. It is also very close to small towns outside Tunja, such as Oicatá, which are totally worth it! Highly recommend.

We arrived by bike coming over the high plains (Paramo). It was a beautiful ride. Duitama isn't a tourist destination, really. It's just another nice town in Boyacá. We wree en route from Santa Marta to Bogotá, and I was drawn to the place by something inside. What we wanted was peace & quiet after many nights in noisy locations. It fit the bill. I had clutch problems with my bike, and José friend personally guided me to a good mechanic. The mechanic and I are also now in communication as he is travelling north towards Honduras by camper van soon. In a very short stay, we met a few quality people.

What I liked the most was the nature, tranquility, and beautiful views around the place. Also, Tibasosa´s location makes it easier to visit other small towns, such as Nobsa, Monguí, or interesting sites, like "El Pueblito Boyacense" or "El Pantano de Vargas." What I disliked was to find food that was overcooked (hamburger), or burned (i.e. pizza) or dishes that were loaded with carbohidrates. Next time, I´ll research for places to eat, in advance.

The town is cute with historical charm - just like many other places in Boyaca.. However, due to the high mountain elevation - the weather tends to be rainy and cold. There are some nice restaurants, and (of course) lots of soccer balls, but otherwise, I would suggest one of the many other picturesque and more ambient towns in Boyaca..

This town is absolutely picturesque, with a beautiful colonial atmosphere that preserves the charm of the Spanish colonial era. Walking through the streets feels like stepping back in time. The shops are adorable, filled with colorful artisanal crafts, locally made clothing, and stunning pottery from the region. Everything feels authentic and thoughtfully made. It’s also very affordable — from delicious meals to unique art pieces and incredibly yummy chocolate. A wonderful place to explore, shop, and enjoy the local culture!

Everything was peaceful and beautiful. Grounds are amazing. The staff was very attentive and food was good. The pool could have been cleaner but I enjoyed it. But the best, for me, was the boat ride with Alfred. I will visit again.

Tibasosa is a small town in a beautiful valley of Boyacá.

Tibasosa is a small town in a beautiful valley of Boyacá. Looks very safe and quiet. There are no noisy places. The town is very clean and organized, beautiful houses. There is a very beautiful park close to the town called Guatika. Is really a very enjoyable place, with many kind of experiences. Tibasosa is located in the center of the best area of Boyacá, very close to Pueblito Boyacense in Duitama, Tota Lake, Paipa, Monguí, etc. The most beautiful towns and areas of this area of Colombia. The weather, although a little bit cold, is really nice and enjoyable. Very nice restaurants in the area.

Super charming town... and there was a pizzaria that was as good as NY pizza (just saying) -- the architecture of the town and nearby river and bridge was really charming. Great place to experience for two days... take your time and have fun!
