The hotel and rooms were very nice and exactly as in the pictures. The location is perfect, near the main square and there was a parking. Milena and Francisco who are running the hotel were very nice. The breakfast was very tasty (eggs to your liking, fresh orange juice, hot drink and croissant). For our tasting it could be a little bit bigger.

We only got there due to Booking.com discounts and upgrades, otherwise it was above our budget. The place is run by an amazing family, happy to help and always ready to propose you something. Out of the city centre it is a quite location, and the open house plan makes it a pleasant to spend time. There's no kitchen but you can ask for plates and utensils

Breakfast was very good, not only the menu option for the day, but also personal preference requests were prepared. The personnel attending gave an outstanding service. The location is very convenient. Small but very good supermarket within 100 meters. Clean rooms, bed sheets, blankets, and towels of good quality and clean. The host is very welcoming and friendly. He'll tell you everything you want to know about the surrounding area and has some good recommendations of his own. The hostel is quite new and well taken care of. The best thing however in my opinion were the beds. I slept in a bunkbed and it was easily one of the most comfortable beds I've had in 9 months of traveling South America. Can definitely recommend!

The rooms and the public spaces are incredibly beautiful. The service is incredibly good and the food exceptional. They have on site gardens with much of the veggies picked fresh daily. They have horses available to ride in their beautiful 70 acre hacienda or you can walk down to the creek with lots of beautiful birds to see.

Cute hotel in a lovely town. All small details were thought out very well. Beds are comfortable, they give you options to choose different types of pillows and bring you fresh water with candies daily. The breakfast was superb and staff extremely friendly

We live in Colombia and the 4 square block area around the...

We live in Colombia and the 4 square block area around the plaza mayor is one of the nicest we have visited. The area about a 3.5 hour drive from Bogota but offers a warmer, but not hot, climate. Many nice restaurants and hotels in the area. Seems to be a popular destination for tourism but mostly Colombians. We were there for 4 days and found it charming.

✔ Paipa Cheese Experience: it's delicious ✔ La Lupe Mexican Restaurant: very generous portions and nice owner ✔ Club Nautico: kayaking and wakeboarding on the lake for a good price ✔ Hiking: just going on a long walk circumnavigating the lake. ✘ Thermal Waters: I've been there before, but this time it was overpriced and the pool was crowded and kind of disgusting with grime all over the walls because they didn't clean it properly.

We arrived by bike coming over the high plains (Paramo). It was a beautiful ride. Duitama isn't a tourist destination, really. It's just another nice town in Boyacá. We wree en route from Santa Marta to Bogotá, and I was drawn to the place by something inside. What we wanted was peace & quiet after many nights in noisy locations. It fit the bill. I had clutch problems with my bike, and José friend personally guided me to a good mechanic. The mechanic and I are also now in communication as he is travelling north towards Honduras by camper van soon. In a very short stay, we met a few quality people.

I know Tunja well as I am an art historian and very interested in its historical sites. It has many "hidden treasures" in churches and small museums. It is also very close to small towns outside Tunja, such as Oicatá, which are totally worth it! Highly recommend.

The town is cute with historical charm - just like many other places in Boyaca.. However, due to the high mountain elevation - the weather tends to be rainy and cold. There are some nice restaurants, and (of course) lots of soccer balls, but otherwise, I would suggest one of the many other picturesque and more ambient towns in Boyaca..

I liked most the variety on clay art.

I liked most the variety on clay art. You can find a huge of pieces that represent the ancestral art of potteries made with clay. Also, you can find clothes. During Holy week Ráquira is crowded becaude of sacral ceremonies and some peasants are catholic. We recommended to be careful with natural environment!

Villa de Leyva is a charming place, it has a great character. People are nice! I think there are a lot of Turisms companies! I will recommend you research what kind of activities you will get and ensuring the transportation you use has the tourist information.

Super charming town... and there was a pizzaria that was as good as NY pizza (just saying) -- the architecture of the town and nearby river and bridge was really charming. Great place to experience for two days... take your time and have fun!

Villa de Leyva is the hidden gem city in Colombia. Not many foreigners visit the city which is just 3 hours away from Bogotá and is reachable both by bus and private cars. The architecture and vibe of the city is amazing, delicious food and people is super friendly and welcoming. I always suggest this city as a must place to visit.
