The hotel grounds were spectacular, and the location was perfect for many activities in the area - we especially enjoyed exploring along the river and nearby trails, and it was a short drive to some incredible beaches. The food, service, and rooms were absolutely top notch, and we would absolutely recommend this hotel!

The area and facilities are great. The hotel is one massive garden, with tastefully constructed buildings and facilities. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We were also pleasantly surprised that the on-site restaurant/bar/activities were very affordable.

The accomodations are great, as well as the food and the massages. We requested the airport shuttle and since getting on the van, everything was smooth. Por Villa was clean and big, everything worked as expected and we driver even waited for us to purchase some food on our way to the hotel.

The location is great, right at the beach, and mangrove forest right behind the house. There are good food options near by and bar next door. There is no shoes policy which keeps the place clean, but also gives you natural, comfortable and cozy feeling. It is decorated tastefully, with a lot of natural material, beautiful forest view, and sea breeze. Have in mind if you are coming from Europe or elsewhere the 110V plugs, the place has just enough infrastructure to feel comfortable, but be mindful it’s in nature. Setting is beautiful with river and the ocean, and staff was really helpful about where to eat, helping us arrange the transport from the airport, and we were pretty demanding guests. Also there have 3 adorable kitties in the house.

*My first glamping experience and I loved it. Huge tent with open-air shower and compost toilet *large, shady garden with many trees and bushes *Very attentive staff (you can order by whats app or in person) and great table service (Thanks Katha, Guillermo and team) *I eat mostly plant-based and they prepared an avocado toast for me for breakfast that was not on the menu. Food and snacks were very good *Located 10min on the beach to Costeño Beach Hostel where I hang out a lot to play beach volleyball and eat lunch/dinner *Very private and relaxing experience *Fully sustainable *Amazing white sandy beaches 🏝️ *Nice conversations with staff 🙏🙏🙏 *completely save to walk on the beach at night *SUP and surfing possible at nearby hostels

This place is such a gem, I loved it so much. The settings are truly incredible - you are completely immersed in nature and can hear birdsong all the time, see colourful butterflies and surrounded jungle. I felt so at peace here in a way I can't quite put into words, its really magical. The owners have thought of all the little details that make a place special: reusable natural soap in little jars, flowers on the balcony, a natural pool to coo down, cosy places to sit with cushions and read your book/take a nap etc. The restaurant is also so nice, serving lots of healthy veggie and vegan food. I had a brilliant massage treatment and did lots of my own yoga practice in the shala - I also really reccomend to solo female travellers as I felt very safe and taken care of by the staff.

The place was so nice!! Honestly best place we went, we were lucky enough to be the only one at the hotel which we had all our needs attend. They were so nice! We had all of our dinner on the balcony near the water. It was my boyfriend birthday, I requested decorations and sparkling wine. They were kind enough to more than I expected! They had a private beach that was honestly better than the one at Tayrona park. We wanted to have a surf lesson and they were nice enough to get us in contact with the right people to have a lesson. Anything we ask they were kind and happy to help us achieve it!

The property is in the middle of nature, beachfront and with a beautiful river. Perfect for someone looking to enjoy nature and disconnect, while enjoying the comfort of a very good hotel: excellent food, excellent service, very clean rooms with AC (hard to find in Tayrona). Beach is amazing, however I would not recommend getting in the water, unless you can handle yourself in the water. my favorite place was the river. There are also lots of things to do in the surroundings: Tayrona National Park, Palomino, Rio Claro, among others.

The pool with hydromassage beds and showers, the sauna, massage and especially the jacuzzi was amazing! We loved being in the pool while seeing butterflies and birds flying around. The service of all the staff was excellent. A special thanks to Cesar, who went out of his way to arrange a driver to bring the bikini that I left in the hotel to our next destination -:) The rooms were basic, but the quality of the wellness services exceeded our expectations.

Guachaca was a nice tiny village to stay in with proximity to both Buritaca and Costeño beaches and Tayrona park. It's easy to catch the bus to take you along the main road to these other towns and some hikes. You can swim in the Guachaca river and there is a hike up to a waterfall on the river as well, Cascada Saltillo.

In general, the online description of the trail is not accurate. You are crossing a mountain range.... steep ups and downs followed by a steep down to the resort. Trails are not to U.S./Canada standards especially when one adds in the fact that horse/burrow traffic is a necessity for supplies. Hope for no precipitation.

I loved being able to hike on an uncrowded beach as well as on the nearby trails in the woods … overall it was a wonderful place to take a break . Magdalena beach house provided a nice little breakfast and nearby juanchos was one of the few places to go to for lunch or dinner. They were extremely accident and tried to prepare and cook my food in a low cholesterol fashion.

For those wanting to hike the Tayrona trail, this resort is close by the entrance of the park, and it is a blessing to have this place nearby after hours of walking in the heat. Beaches are not as packed as they commonly are in Santa Marta during high seasons. Nice place to relax while being surrounded by beautiful nature. Of course, not everything is perfect, but you wouldn't expect that while visiting Latin America. As it is outside the city, it can be a bit hard to find good restaurants, so you might want to find a hostel with its own restaurant or book one with a kitchen to cook your meals.

Really nice jungle park. Definitely recommend.

Really nice jungle park. Definitely recommend. I liked that there is a bus from the entrance of the park to the trailhead (2 miles - it's 5,000 cop). There are also guys who sell popsicles on the trail to Cabo San Juan and they are delicious. Great views along the way, the hike is really cool but it is a bit of a trek. There are lots of bugs because it is the jungle, so bug spray was essential. But, all in all it's pretty worth it. I also really liked visiting the other side of the park - Playa Cristal was beautiful, but there were no buses. Needed to hire a mototaxi to get there. I hope that will be different in the future! I heard there are buses that go there. Can't wait to go back
