We were a group of 5 and were deeply impressed by the hospitality at Hotel La Laguna. They surprised us with a complimentary shuttle from the pier upon arrival and even took us back the next day. A special thanks to Emanuel for being so kind and professional. After a difficult road accident we had experienced earlier, he allowed us a late check-out, which was much needed. While two of us did the Sierra Negra trekking, the rest of the group could rest according to medical advice. The staff was incredibly caring and the service was 10/10. Thank you for making a tough situation so much better!

The location is really close to the Main Street and few minutes walk from the pier. As soon as we arrived Joseline the owner welcome us to the hotel and showed us around. She was always extremely helpful and ready to answer any question or help us out. She prepared a really delicious breakfast every morning and checked that everything was going well.

Great location very close to the pier and main strip in Santa Cruz. We were able to check-in early, which was much appreciated as we arrived on an early ferry. The room was small but comfortable and totally fine for two people for a few nights. The common room and shared kitchenette on the first floor was very practical, and free water was provided.

What an exceptional property! This immaculately clean boutique hotel has approximately 12 rooms on 3 storeys with wide open, airy common spaces to relax. Someone is always sweeping or cleaning around the small complex. The reception staff are incredibly welcoming, hospitable and helpful without being intrusive and English is well spoken. They can arrange everything for you as well as being partnered with a helpful travel agency next door. They can also send out for laundry service. Beach towels are available. Rooms are well appointed with all the standard travel essentials and tastefully decorated with local art featuring Galapagos wildlife themes. There is also an evening turn down service. The in-room A/C works very well and a small fridge is included. The table service breakfast is fresh and delicious and portions are large. You start with juice, fruit and yogurt followed by a different themed egg dish as a main course. Location in Puerto Ayora is excellent: just a few convenient steps away from the restaurants, shops and piers on the main avenue but far enough away such that it is nice and quiet in the evening. Should we ever return to Santa Cruz, this is where we'd stay. Again.

Very friendly staff, we were really taken care of. Nothing was too much the staff, always smiling and drove us around. Even fed us on the day of arrival. Kayla is lovely, sorted all our tours and bookings. We highly recommend this place.

The location is great, with Bar de Beto right at the beach. The hostal was across the street and was very clean and the beds very comfortable. Especially the employees were amazing - would recommend!
