PolandEverything was very good. Big, comfortable, quiet and nice room with big beds. Clean bathroom. Parking. Not all members of the stuff speak English but it was not a problem. Good breakfast. I reccomend this place for visit Estonia (National Parks eg. Lahemaa 0.5 hour but also Alutaguse - 1 hour).

SpainIt is my favourite part of Estonia and I come here often and have visited Vihula manor and its surroundings already as a child. But it was my first time to stay for the night and it was just great! The sauna-pools part is extremely nice and well taken care for. Room was big, our 4-member family fitted very well there. Outside walks-buildings-mini-golf, everything so beautiful and relaxing. Breakfast was rich and delicious. Dinner exceptional!

We stayed at two bungalows which are on the shore of the Gulf of Finland (the Baltic Sea). The location is fantastic, and the view from the top of the seashore bluff (with a staircase to the beach) is mesmerising. The bungalows were comfy, equipped with a small fridge and an electric kettle, outside - a small terrace. Bed linen and towels included. Very clean and spacious shared showers and WC with a relaxing music playing inside as well as a kitchen available in a separate building nearby. A friendly staff member. We enjoyed our stay! Highly recommended! Thank you!

Palmse Guesthouse is located in a beautiful manor surrounded by an impressive museum and a charming park, perfect for walks. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a kettle and cups. Bathroom and shower facilities are shared, but there are additional toilets and showers in the corridor. Breakfast is traditional, like in a hotel, and the dining room is spacious, with a lovely dollhouse nearby. At the reception area, guests can use a coffee machine and a refrigerator.

Just so nice! The cabins are small, but big enough. The kitchen is well equipped. The camp site is spacious and well kept. We made a fire to roast marshmallows and we met the animals that live on the campground. Really nice experience, also for our kids.

Rakvere is where my mother went to high school.
Rakvere is where my mother went to high school. Later the rest of her family (mother and sister) moved there to live. I consider it my home town away from my home town. Not only does it have great permanent attractions, like the 800-year-old castle with actors recreating life 500 years ago, but it has great occasional events. Like a punk rock festival every year. One time I was there, I unexpectedly came upon a street organ festival and spent the rest of the afternoon/evening with them. It has great places to eat with a variety of cuisines, from local to Caucasian and Asian (including sushi) and friendly, comfortable places to stay in between the eating, music and medieval life. It's small enough to get around on foot, but there are lots of buses too. You are sure to enjoy it!

Beatiful and calm neighborhood with plenty possibilities to walk around in the nature. Eating possibilities are limited because the nearest neighbours are 6-7 km away. Still there is plenty activity possibilities in Vihula Manor itselt (museums, sports activities, trekking).

I was met by a human despite the fact that I had not given a time of arrival. I had good, clear advice about access and leaving by text and e-mail but it was reassuring to be shown the ropes by a real person. This is especially important for me because my hearing is poor and I can't use a phone for talk. The description of the guest house is honest. The facilities are clean, the house is spacious and the decor is cheerful. Its near a supermarket and a bus stop - good for me because I was using public transport. The taxi fare from Rakvere is 12 EUR if the bus schedule does not suite - affordable ! Very highly recommended!

A pleasant little town in the north of the country.
A pleasant little town in the north of the country. It was a pleasure to walk through the restored streets of the old town. There are plenty of restaurants with good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Would have been nice to have extended opening hours for the museums and extended time to visit the castle, but our visit coincided with the Easter holiday and this may have been the reason for the reduced opening hours.

Not much to see or do.
Not much to see or do. There is a playground about to be opened soon, but a small one already exists next to the school (not for babies, though). There’s just one grocery store and a local pub (don’t recommend). Sammi grill is a better option (slightly farther), but quite pricey and not suitable for vegetarians.

It is a beautiful peaceful town in Estonia.
It is a beautiful peaceful town in Estonia. A castle for sightseeing. A peacefull parc for recreation. There is also a spa with a 25m swimming pool. In the center village you find old restored buildings which are worth seeing. For shopping there is near the city a shopping mall.
