The owner is a great lady. She is friendly, helped us with the suggestions on the local sightseeing, speaks several languages.
The breakfast is great. There is an open bar at the house, you can take if you need anything and pay later. You can play pool (billiards) and other games.
The house is very safe, clean and comfortable.

I’ve stayed at Kauksi Telklaager several times. Beautiful spot right by the lake, genuinely peaceful. Cozy small cabins, bigger ones if you need space, plus room for tents and campers. Every cabin has its own grill spot and an outdoor table under a shelter for evenings that don’t want to end.
Facilities are properly clean: showers, toilets, a shared kitchen you’d actually want to cook in. Reception has some extras, e.g. coffee, ice cream, firewood and charcoal on hand.
The hosts are wonderful, they clearly care about guests and the grounds down to the lakeshore. SAP boards and other water toys available for rent.
PS. One honest note: a few negative reviews mention the owner being “too strict” or “not letting people play.” Reading between the lines, that’s the crowd hoping for a loud, boozy free-for-all. With many guests sharing the grounds, the quiet-hours rule is exactly what lets everyone actually rest. Fully on the owner’s side here, thank you for protecting the peace.

The hostess was great.
The hostess was great. They provided additional information regarding a tour of the castle and the area. The breakfast menu was provided the evening before and it was extensive. I checked off just about everything on offer and then worried it would be too much, but the portions were adjusted accordingly, and thus I was delighted to have been able to taste all of what was offered. As for the area...restful.

Everything was just wonderful!
Everything was just wonderful! It's a nice and quiet place, great for stopping by after a long ride. All the facilities are great and the rooms are cosy and comfortable. The place is a walking distance away from the lake, which offers a great view. I would 100% reccomend this place!!! :)
