Pilguse Residency is a large estate with facilities spread across several buildings. During my visit in July, I stayed in a small cabin with wonderful views over the field and towards the lake. The cabin was tastefully designed and furnished and made for a very comfortable couple of nights. The shower facilities in the main compound were luxurious, as was the restaurant, with excellent breakfasts and evening meals. Staff were kind, attentive and helpful.

The spa was super nice and the service was also outstanding. Different procedures and they all were fantastic! In the breakfast, we had a wide variety of options. The food and the coffee were tasteful. The room was spacious and with all the necessary amenities. As it is a boutique hotel, I felt the vibe of it like the posters from the great La Scala theatre.

A neat and clean hotel in a great location. A big advantage is that the hotel operates autonomously, with code access to the room, so you don’t have to carry a key card or share it with other family members. There is also a great common area with a kitchen and a children’s corner, which our kids really enjoyed. The hotel is pet-friendly, and our dog was even welcomed with some treats, which was a very nice touch. We also traveled with an electric car, so the charging station in the hotel courtyard was a big plus. The sound insulation is not very good, but since the hotel was not fully occupied during our stay, it was not an issue for us.
