Set 100 metres from Caló d’es Moro Beach in San Antonio, the Gran Sol Hotel has a large swimming pool with a sun terrace and snack bar. They let me check in at 2am and the staff were super friendly. I was only staying the night and check out was at 11am so that was great too.

Sir Joan Hotel

Sir Joan Hotel

Ibiza Town

Situated in Ibiza Town, 400 metres from Pacha, Sir Joan Hotel boasts air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar and outdoor pool. The concierge service is amazing. I came to Ibiza to celebrate my friend’s birthday and the hotel concierge helped me make the trip an epic one. Before the trip we communicated through email on every single detail of what to do near the island. They replied to all of my questions promptly and gave incredible recommendations on what to do where to eat and they helped me book everything and they were so patient when I constantly changed my schedule. They gave me their WhatsApp to stay in touch during our trip in Ibiza and even after we checked out they still helped us contact the restaurants to hold tables or confirm reservations. They provided the best hotel service I’ve ever experienced.

Catalonia Royal Ses Savines -Adults Only

Catalonia Royal Ses Savines -Adults Only

Santa Eularia des Riu

Offering beautiful sea views, views over Ibiza Port and the island of Formentera, Catalonia Royal Ses Savines - Adults Only is a beachfront hotel in Santa Eularia des Riu in the Ibiza Region. Beautiful and brand new hotel right on the waters edge in a quiet part of Santa Eulalia. All rooms were sea facing with nicely furnished rooms which were spacious and comfortable. Bathroom area was spacious and featured a rain style shower head. Short 10 min walk into the town centre and marina which was convenient to catch the daily ferries to Formentera (x2 a day during summer months) and Ibiza Town. Breakfast was served in the adjacent restaurant with a omelette counter serving personalised eggs any style. Santa Eulalia is in a lovely part of Ibiza, far from the maddening crowds but within a 20 min taxi ride to Ibiza town and Platja d'en Bossa. Highly recommended for a relaxed but not necessarily sedate Ibiza getaway. Hotel has two pools with an exquisite roof top infinity pool and a portable bar that stays open till 10pm for mesmerising late afternoon drinks. Fresh pool/beach towels for use. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Small afternoon snack counter in the lobby was a nice touch featuring cakes and some nice sandwiches to tie you over till the beautiful dinners that are short taxi rides away .... Amanti and Buddhabar were outstanding.

Ibiza highlights

An island of surprises

Even though it's famous for fantastic clubbing, Ibiza is so much more and makes a surprisingly good family destination.

Booking.com’s range of apartments, B&Bs and hotels in Ibiza cover all kinds of holiday. The main nightlife is centred around San Antonio, where superclubs Es Paradis and Eden only kick off after midnight.

Playa d’en Bossa also has amazing clubs including Space which attracts big-name DJs year after year.

Nearby Ibiza Town (or Eivissa) is the island’s capital, and although it has its fair share of bars and restaurants, the feel is more laidback.

The cobbled streets in its walled Old Town, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, offer a spot of shade from the Spanish sun. Along the coast is Santa Eulalia del Rio, an altogether more exclusive resort whose marina is lined with expensive yachts.

However, the best family hotels in Ibiza are in northern resorts like Portinatx and Port de San Miguel.

Here crystal-clear waters lap sandy beaches hidden in rocky coves.

The scenery is simply stunning and the vibe couldn’t be more different to down south.

Inland Ibiza still retains much of its original character.

Hiring a bike is a great way to explore sleepy villages like Santa Agnès and San Rafael, though be warned – some of the terrain can be tricky!.
