Easy to locate off main road, with good signage. Plenty of parking and surrounded by countryside in a lovely rural location. Despite the owners being busy in the middle of a special event, they allowed us early access to our room - and gave us 2 room keys, to choose our bedroom. Despite having misread the restaurant opening hours when booking [they are not open in the evening, just lunchtimes!], the lady offered us a "picnic" type dinner to eat either outside or in the upstairs kitchen area, at a table. Whilst the kitchen area was quite basic, it was next to our room, the food was delicious and included wine at a very reasonable price. Stunning views from our room. Breakfast consisted of lots of options and, again, the owner went above and beyond to cater for Gluten Free choices.

Antonia and Jordi are the lovliest hosts you can imagine, always going the extra mile and offering lots of Information and help. They have a gift to make everyone feel welcome. Antonia speaks perfect English, Jordi exzellent German. We were able to get some wine and glasses for a night cap in our lovely room from Antonia, despite the fact that we arrived only at 22.30. A perfect start into our stay which we thoroughly enjoyed. Very nice breakfast with choice of jams, salamis, hams, cheeses, fruit, etc... The ancient house was renovated into a charming countryside hotel with loads of character and a style that makes you feel cozy and at home. We will come back for sure!

The house was beautiful, immaculatey clean and well equipped. The scenery and views were spectacular and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. The house is so well situated and as climbers one of the best crags in the Europe is found at the bottom of the garden. The house is surrounded by beautiful countryside and wildlife and was incredibly peaceful. We can't wait to return!

It was the best experience of stay in a winery.
The place, view, restaurant and facilities are amazing! The staff so friendly and polite! Degustation and all “educational information” about wines was performed by the real professional, the person passionate about his work.
Totally recommended!
And hope, we’ll be back!

We were usually out before the kitchen opened and the staff were kind enough to prepare breakfast for us at 7am. The beds were super comfortable and the staff are friendly.
There was plenty of parking near the church and it’s a few seconds from the accommodation

If you like a sense of adventure but a the same time getting...
If you like a sense of adventure but a the same time getting away from it all then Falset is a lovely place to stay. Lots of wineries around the area, some nice restaurants, and good for walking.. Falset also has a public swimming pool which also very nice.

A very special destination nestled in a quiet valley of vineyards and olive trees, surrounded by awesome mountains. The town of Escaledei is small but rich in historic value and boasts unique wines. Well worth a visit!

Porrera is in the heart of Spain's premier Priorat wine...
Porrera is in the heart of Spain's premier Priorat wine region and has 24 vintners in this village of about 440 residents. If you're a wine lover you could spend more than a weekend based in Porerra visiting wineries and learning about the reqion. Great local restaurants, though limited hours based on local customs. Short drive to Tarragona but it's a bit of a hike to Barcelona and Valencia (2 plus hours to both) so we decided to spend a long weekend here between visiting both cities and will definitely return to explore some more.

Very nice medieval village.
Very nice medieval village. Clean and renovated, however it looks a kind of deserted with only a few old people living in the vicinity. It is good location for rock climbers and nature lovers. There is no decent supermarket in the village. Petrol station is in the next village, but it is closed most of the time. Restaurants are very basic. To avoid unnecessary concerns, it is better to come decent quantity of petrol and some stock of food.

It is a tiny little village with just 480 inhabitants...
It is a tiny little village with just 480 inhabitants surrounded by vineyards and olive groves. It is a sleepy, boring quiet little village and you'll definitely need a rental car. It wouldn't be a destination per se, just a place to base yourself to explore the region.

small town but very close to the wine region of Priorat,...
small town but very close to the wine region of Priorat, there are over 50 wineries around where you can easily spend a week visiting and tasting all the fine wine. We stayed and had dinner at Mas Trucafort where you should totally try their food, it's magnificent. Try their octopus, home-made soup and lamb shank!

A most interesting location, with the mountains beyond,...
A most interesting location, with the mountains beyond, hilltop villages nearby, the ancient monastery, and the original Priorat winery which was taking in the grape harvest beginning wine-making when we were there. Excellent winery tour. Good food and wine locally.
