In the center of the village. Breakfast was great. View from window of the village square. We are happy it was mid week because we had our window open to sleep, and the square was quiet.

Comfortable and elegant apartment in the heart of Orduña. Many thoughtful design touches. Host was flexible to accommodate my travel schedule and made checkin easy. A great base for exploring all that Orduña has to offer, from historical charm to Basque cuisine to hiking trails in the nearby hills.

The building is very pretty, an old house that is very well kept and maintains its character. Location in the middle of nature is great. The staff is very helpful.

Exceptional and magnificent property. Very nice and green environment. From the property you can make a very beautiful hike to mountain next to it. From this location you can easily drive to Bilbao (40 minutes), to the coast (about 1 hour) or deep into the mountains for hikes. There are jacuzzi's in the two rooms and they work very well. There is a big and nice garden around the house and you have almost full privacy. The property is at they beginning of the path (only a car from a local passed by twice in 1 week...). The picture is from the hike near the property.

This place hits the basic winning trifecta. Super comfortable bed, excellent shower and big fluffy towels. On top of that nice views and spotlessly clean. The owner was a great person to boot. As a side note I must have missed/deleted a message somewhere regarding some of the details. To check in head to the adjacent restaurant and the owner, I’m sure, will be there to take care of you. Breakfast is included and served in the restaurant. Fresh squeezed OJ is a great way to start the day!

We had a lovely stay surrounded by nature. The place is a good starting point to explore the areas, 30 min away from Bilbao, 1,5h from San Sebastian. The breakfast and dinner were amazing, local dishes. We appreciated Francisco and Tania's services. The building is impressive and is an effort to maintain such an old one.

A lovely small town although not very touristy which is why we like it. Beautiful views all around. You can walk to the station and get the train to the centre of Bilbao which is great. We combined it with a stay in San Sebastian so quite a contrast. You can also go to The Rioja, and also Vitoria. Lots of bars and restaurants but catering for the local trade. We enjoyed it. The hotel has a spa which you can visit and is really good. Sunday mid day sees everyone sitting outside have a chilled white wine!

Charming town with easy access to local hiking trails, great bike routes, and easy to park in the public parking. Train station (for access to Bilbao) in Areta, about 8km drive. The station has free parking.

Too many dogs are left out at night and left to bark for no reason. Its a shame because it's a lovely little village. Maybe in the less warmer months would be better as you can keep the windows shut. Will not cut out the noise completely but would help.

A beautiful little walking town (actually it has historical city status!). Within easy train journey to Bilbao. Lots of wonderful scenery with plenty of interesting and/or challenging walks. Plenty of cafes with helpful locals. Vibrant town square in the evening. Great central place to use as a base for Basque activities.

Orozko is a lovely town.

Orozko is a lovely town. We really enjoyed walking around it. We had coffee and lunch there and both were excellent. We look forward to going there again, when we visit Spain next winter. The local people are very friendly and the staff in both the coffee shop and bar/restaurant where we had lunch were extremely nice.
